Cat's Whiskers (Balbas-pusa) is a traditional medicine used for infections in the urinary tract, kidneys, and the bladder. It is listed in the Philippine Pharmacopoeia and is approved by the German Commission E. Blumea Balsamifera (Sambong) is also an herb listed in the Philippine Pharmacopeia. It is identified as a useful diuretic and can help the body expel kidney stones. Lagerstroemia speciosa (Banaba) is a traditional herb for diabetes. It is also recognized as a diuresis (enhances urination) and that it aids in edema and in expelling kidney stones. Turmeric (Luyang Dilaw) is a strong antioxidant that helps in normalizing the body's lipid levels and acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory.
