Gallstones may not be everyone’s concern. But they should be because we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to certain cancers.
“Cancer is never the first illness,” Chiu-Nan points out. “usually, there are lots of other problems leading up to cancer”. In my research in China, I came across some material which says that, “people with cancer usually have gallstones.”
We all have gallsontes. It’s a matter of how big or how small, how many or how few. One of the symptoms of gallstones is feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal. You feel you can’t digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area.
So if you think you have gallstones, Chiu-Nan offers the following method to remove them naturally. The treatment is also good for those with a weak liver, because the liver and gallstones are closely linked.
For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice everyday. Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the five days, eat normally.
On the sixth day, take no dinner. At 6pm , take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (Magnesium sulfate) with a glass of warm water. At 8pm repeat the same. Magnesium sulfate opens the gallbladder ducts.
At 10 pm, take 1/2 cup olive oil with 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to help its passage.
The next morning , you will find green stones in your stool. “Usually it floats” Chiu-Nan notes, “You might want to count it. I had people who posses 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. ”
“Even if you don’t have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some. It is always good to give your gall bladder a clean up now and then. You’ll find that your digestion will be much better afterwards.”

From Dok Emil Aligui:
Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is available at Mercury Drug Store.
As a practitioner of integrative medicine, it is advisable to seek a doctor’s care or opinion and have an x-ray or ultrasound of the gallbladder and visualize the gallstones. In a some cases, a cluster of gall stones may not go through, but majority will be expelled. Ideally, a post treatment ultrasound is done to make sure all stones have been expelled.

Doeas this have any side effects? In case of clusters of gall stones that dont pass out, can they block or hurt any passage? I have a single gall stone.1 cm big. This was reported in the ultra sound done in Feb 2006.Should i do one before the procedure and one after?

Hi, Doc. At last I’ve found the article about gallstones and how to remove them naturally. I just want to ask if there’s no “required positioning” after drinking the oil? I remember reading it somewhere that you should lie on your left or right. I just can’t remember if on your right or on your left. Hope you can tell me.
Thanks.

During five days of eating five apples everyday or dringking apple juice, you don’t have to eat meals?
December 25th, 2006 at 9:59 am
During the 5 or 6 days of eating apples, you can take your regular meals but I would suggest to eat more of vegetables and other fruits, lean meat or fish.
As to the question of positioning, on the last day, on taking the oil, lie flat and relax then shift your body to the right and assume a knee to chest configuration if possible. This maneuver puts weight on the right side of the body or on the side of the liver, facilitating the expulsion of stones. The success experience varies so there is really no research on what is the proportion of successful gall stone expulsion. Some have noted that only fat globules were seen on the stools. Physiologically, the larger the stone the more difficult it is to expel. I would encourage users to report their experiences, at least among those logging on to this site, noting any documentation -e.g., ultrasound- before and after the procedure, if the documentation is available. You need not identify yourself but for purposes of counting please indicate your initials -including middle initial, age, gender and province or city (example: JDL, 50, M, Manila). Documentation, ideally should be done before and after but if your can afford only 1, do it before the flushing procedure and then recover the stones afterwards, wash them and put them in a bottle with alcohol. The reason is that when an ultrasound is done you can actually count or approximate the number and size of the stones. After the flushing procedure, you can determine how many came out and how many more remain in the gall bladder.
The problem of getting epsom salts varies too, while Mercury drug may carry this material, not all branches would have it. Try to call your drug store, Mercury, Rose or others and try to order because apparently when supply is available, it runs out so easily.
As to the frequency the recommendation is do it once a year for preventive purposes. For the first timers, please note that you can have diarrhea because of the oil so a toilet should be close by. This is a form of cleansing your gall bladder but the procedure cleanse your bowels as well. There are no hard rules on frequency, some do it on a monthly basis because of the presence of several stones which may require serial flushing.
BTW, you need not buy expensive olive oil, virgin coconut oil works as well. In some cases, you can actually mix it with cola (coke, pepsi, sarsi or virgin cola – your choice) or take cola immediately after the oil, if you find the oil unpalatable.
December 29th, 2006 at 1:33 pm
is there a substitute for epsom salt? its hard to find the salts, i have combed the metro for this….no luck.
thanks…. God bless.
December 30th, 2006 at 2:04 am
The use of Epsom salt is to relax the gall bladder duct. Although taking Epsom salt is recommended, you may try the procedure without it. However the success in expelling the stones, if the gall bladder is full of stones, would be low. In this case, you may try the procedure once a month in the hope that each try would expel a few stones with each session. Unfortunately, there is no substitute for Epsom salt. A useful procedure is to take some laxatives during the day before taking the oil or natural laxatives during the period of taking the apple juice. If you are taking amplaya plus, which effectively makes your bowel movement very regular, just double the dose of amplaya plus during the procedure (5 days) and the laxative effect will be enhanced.
Bowel cleansing can also be achieved if you try to move your bowels 2 or 3 times a day. This does not mean diarrhea but just a regular habit that most health conscious people would appreciate. Our stools are metabolic and digestive wastes. With stools are bile salts, which is the most common source of gall stones, and re-enter the circulation via the large intestines (entero-hepatic circulation). Therefore, if you develop the habit of regular stool evacuation, the chances of developing stones, even cholesterol stones would be low. I would then recommend bowel movement 2x a day, 1 in the morning and 1 at night before bedtime -this is not a feat, it can be developed as a habit. If you do, with the help of the natural laxative of Amplaya Plus, you can prevent the formation of gall stones -long term. With 2x a day bowel movement and adequate fluids, your stools would be soft, not watery. Develop this preventive regimen after the initial gall bladder flushing and you may just want to do the flushing once a year, if ever.

Stone sufferers, weep not!
Thanks to PITAHC staff, I was informed that Epsom Salts can be bought at the Mercury Drug outlet in Bambang, Manila near the LRT station. Will have try my stone flushing next week. Good luck to all!

Hello Doctor,
I receieved an email from a relative, detailing the gall stone removal from your website. I read the blog. Apart from the subject, I have a question: I heard coke is not good for teeth. At age 14 had RCT done for teeth in the upper and lower jaws. I was not aware of the harmful effects of coke (Miranda, 7-up, Pepsi, Cola, Sprite,FANTA); I drank everyday after returning from school. Let me have your opinion.
—————————–
In small amounts, cola in soda form is not harmful; but if it becomes a regular drink, too much sugar will indeed harm you. Kids should not develop the habit of drinking soda because it is acid and has lots of sugar. Even soda with sugar substitutes, it is still not advisable to drink soda as a habit, in place of water or fruit juice.

Thanks, Dok Emil. Mabuhay po kayo!
Flushed a lot of stones of various sizes! must have been from 20-30! they floated and the regular bowel sank. did not store them in a bottle though. didn’t have the stomach to do it. i plan to repeat the procedure after two weeks or so. and then do it quarterly or once every six months. i have convinced family and friends to do their flushing too.
Now my question: Can one go back to a regular diet (some meat, some alcohol) after a successful flush?
Mark / 35 / Quezon City
——————————–
Hi Mark,
Congratulations to a successful flush! Yes you can eat meat and drink some alcohol but with moderation. You can do the gall bladder flush once or twice a year.

can i replace lemon juice with calamansi juice? epsom salt with PAN SALT? these are the available materials in my place…
thank you for your response…
From Doc Emil:
Calamansi juice can replace lemon juice but epsom salts cannot be replaced. Epsom salts help in getting the gall bladder to contract and expel gall stones.
March 31st, 2007 at 2:13 pm
hello doc, i’m really glad that i’ve found ur site, i really learned alot from it. hopefully, i’d like to know more from it specially for people with heart ailments, and what kind of herbal diet is good for them. thankz and more power to you.
From Doc Emil:
Vitamin B complex from green leafy vegetables protects the arteries from getting hard. Garlic is beneficial to reduce blood thickness which prevents blood to clot in the arteries and thus prevent heart attacks and cerebral stroke -but it acts very slowly and you need to adapt taking these as part of your lifestyle. So with taking whole wheat, and fruits rich in polyphenols (grape seed extract, guava, and omega 3 & 6) which lessen the deposits of lipids that harden our arteries. Taking luyang dilaw tea daily also protects the arteries. There should be a balance of good food, proper diet and exercise and stress managment in order to have a long term preventive measure against heart diseases.

I have flushed out several gallstone during my cleanses but some friends say they are not stones from the gallbladder but from the liver. how do we know if its a gallbladder or liver stones
——————–
From Doc Emil:
Stones are usually from the bile ducts which evetually drain in the gall bladder. There are no stones in the liver but possibly in the canals (bile ducts in the liver) connecting with the gall bladder. The liver is a solid organ with canals draining to the gall bladder; stone formation occurs when the salts are precipitated in the bile. The stones that are expelled would come from either gall bladder or the bile ducts. The act taking olive oil or virgin coconut oil stimulates the gall bladder to contract and expel the stones.

im interested to try the cleansing. im just wondering if my son can also try it, by the way he is just 8 years old.
regarding the epsom salt, how much does it usually cost?
thanks…
From Doc Emil:
I would not recommend cleansing for children as there is no reason for doing it. Healthy children would not have metabolic problems. The body’s metabolic problems usually arise at the age 30 years and older.

Hello Doctor,
I have had very bad episodes of gallstones pain that made me faint in the past 20-30 years. My next step is to have surgery. Ultrasound showed that I have gall polyps instead of stones. Can these polypes be flushed out, and more importantly, during the flush out, will there be discomforts or excruciating pain like what I had experienced (what about when a cluster of stones that couldn’t come out)???
Thanks-
Angela
—————————
From Doc Emil: Gall bladder polyps cannot be flushed out. They have to be removed by surgery. Only cases with discomfort are recommended to have surgery and those with polyps measuring more than 1cm should be removed. Polyps between 1-1.8cm can be removed by laparoscopic means. Regarding gall bladder flush, only stones that can fit to pass the common bile duct have a great chance of expulsion and usually will not cause an intense pain. The ultrasound can be used to assess the success of gall stone flush.

Dear Doc Emil,
I noticed that there are a lot of queries regarding the availability of epsom salt. Since everyone has a hard time looking for the elusive ingredient why can’t anybody (say for example, Mark) who has physical access to some, do business thru ebay phils. I would be glad to be one of the initial buyers.
In this way, we not only eliminate stones, we propagate the entrepreneurial spirit. tnx.

hello doc,
Thanks God it’s successful even without epsom salt! Actually, it was my husband who was having symptoms of gallbladder stones, he tried it with table salt because we did find any epsom salt at that time and yet he’s so excited to try it the first time. It was last April and he has seen as much as 20-30 small bits of green stones. He is determined to repeat it this month and we are thankful that epsom salt is now available. Thank you for sharing with us, we are also spreading the idea to our friends and relatives. God bless you.

I would like to know what kind of olive oil to buy because there is extra virgin olive oil and pure olive oil. Does it mean olive oil can be replaced with sesame oil and virgin coconut oil? Must there be a procedure when sleeping on the sixth day? Re apple juice must it be organic apple juice or will motts brand of apple juice do? Hope to hear from your end as soon as possible because my mother is undergoing said remedy now. Thanks in advance
———————————–
From Doc Emil: Either olive oil or virgin coconut oil will be acceptable. You do not need to use extra virgin olive oil for purposes of doing gall bladder flush. There is no particular way of sleeping and no special apple juice brand. The classic apple juice mentioned in most recommendations is green apple juice. The use of apple juice is not also strict, you can just eat green apples instead of drinking apple juice.
June 28th, 2007 at 9:20 am
Mr. Ogie Borja,
very thankful for your information about “My dollar store”. My husband bought a 2lb. box (907gms) of Epsom salt. no other size available. The store owner said they will have the product pulled out because of slow sales. kaya I have a lot of extra salt. Just finished my “flushing” night of June 27. What an ordeal! had to stay in the bathroom for three straight hours, and had to go on leave from work the nxt day because of the laxative. But for the good news, it was a success, I “flushed” out twice of my greenish substance.
Thanks Doc Emil and Doc Lai Chiu Nan…

Dear Doc Emil,
I just want to ask if a nursing mom is fit to do a flush. My months-old son is still being breastfed exculsively. I’m worried that if my wife starts this regimen, she may not produce milk as normal for the 5 days. I will be glad to hear your recommendation. Thanks.
———————————–
From Doc Emil: Yes a nursing mom can do a flush but would suggest that breast milk, during the period when Epsom salts are taken -say 24 hours, be discarded because we do not know if magnesium sulfate will affect the quality of milk. There is a possibility that the infant can have diarrhea from magnesium taken by the mother and excreted via breastmilk.

hi doc emil!
thanks for the info. when i called mercury here in cebu, they advised me to call Far Eastern Pharmacy for the epsom salt and luckily they got it! they are selling it at P 50/kl.
got a concern. for the past three days, am experiencing some pain at my stomach. u cant just ignore it. its not steady.. occasionally as if there’s ” a needle” inside. as if there’s a pressure inside my womb and it pains me alot. what is this? is this part of having gallstones?
am planning to try the flushing over the weekend. and after which i will undergo another u/s to check if there’s still stones.
please enlighten me
————————
From Doc Emil: The liver and gall bladder is located in the upper right of the abdomen, just beneath the right lower rib cage. If the pain is located somewhere here, then the pain may be from the gall stones. The contraction of the gall bladder in the presence of gall stones causes the pain. Please see my recent post on gall stones (Health tips Category).

Hi Doc Emil!
Thanks for your reply. I’ve been waiting for it before my wife’s starts the Flush. I hope we can also get good results. For the meantime, my wife began adding apples in her diet but not at the prescribed level of 4-5 a day. She started this week but only consuming 2 apples a day. So I think we’ll extend for another week just to strictly follow eating 4-5 apples a day. Thanks again!
To: “Mareigh”
Pardon my persistence but I just want to confirm if you wrote it correctly that you bought Epsom Salt at just 50(fifty)pesos a kilo in Cebu? If so can you please give the exact location of the Far Eastern Pharmacy in Cebu. We have relatives there who could buy it for us and just it send it over. That’s quite cheap compared to the price here in Manila. Thanks in advance.

Hello again Doc Emil,

There is a possibility that the infant can have diarrhea from magnesium taken by the mother and excreted via breastmilk.
————————————————————–
Does this mean that NOT ONLY must a nursing mom stop breastfeeding for 24hours after taking Epsom Salt but ALSO must discard the milk? as in expressing the breastmilk manually (thru a breastpump) and then dump it? Please confirm. Thanks so much. Will it have a different effect if only the breastfeeding is just stopped for 24hours but not expressed manually?
———————————–
From Doc Emil: If you just stop breastfeeding, you will excrete the salt later. However, I do not recommend to stop the milk production so I would still express milk only to keep the milk in production.

hi!
i tried the flushing last friday 7/20 night. i followed strictly the procedure and experienced so much pain at around 2AM, as if it contracts and same pain feel when you are in a labor room. When i woke up the next morning, hoping to flush it but it didnt work for me. instead i was rush to the hospital coz i felt there’s something blocks my lungs and i hardly breathe. i was confined saturday 7/21. had again another u/s and the doc was having a hard time locating the other stone since it was in the bile tube already but could not pass. why is it not able to come out? is my bile tube small for a 1.3cm stone? i was scheduled to have an emergency surgery the following day. had undergone a laparoscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder and the stones. the stones are black and as big as a grape!
btw, olive oil with lemon juice taste so bad. as if u feel like to vomit..i just cant stand the taste of it. but it was a good try flushing them in a natural way…..but if ask to drink again the olive and lemon juice..I WONT!
Thanks for reading

From Doc Emil: A 16 mm gall stone is quite big and may not be expelled. You may need to have surgery. Some have tried radish juice to dissolve the stone, make it smaller and then flush. I would try alternative medicine only if the condition is not risky, gallstones can cause gallbladder infection because of blockade of the bile duct and may eventually cause pancreatitis. Please check with your doctor so you can be fully evaluated.

doc i have i kidney stone..it is posible taht i have also a gall stone?
———————————–
From Doc Emil: Yes it is possible to have gall stones and kidney stones at the same time. An abdominal ultrasound can be a single examination that can detect both conditions. We should be aware that there are diagnostic errors inherent in screening procedures and a clinical examination is still basic in any medical care.

doc gum am.
doc my question is..if the flush procedure is safe even if i have a kidney stone?? pls enlighten me thnak you very much and God Bless
———————————-
From Doc Emil: Yes it alright to have gall bladder flush even if you have kidney stones. For kidney stones, take Sambong tablets 500mg 4x daily for 3 months and it will help reduce the stones or even dissolve the kidney stones.

Epsom Salt (Magnesium sulphate) is available at Healthy Options (in SM Megamall, EDSA Shangri-la and maybe in some other outlets too) at the fraction of the cost that it is sold in Mercury Drug. It was so cheap at Healthy Options I coudn’t believe it when I found the item there!

Hi Doc Emil,
My father was diagnosed to have 2 pcs of 2cm gall stones..is it safe to undergo this flush procedure? I am worried if his gall stones is too big that it may block the bile ducts and may cause complications…we really need your help…thanks.

Dear Dr.
I had my gallblader removed 3 years ago. 2 weeks ago i had this abdominal pain, and the doctor told me that maybe i have stones in biliary duct thats why i had pain and one thing more i had fever for 3 days. The dr. told me to have an ERCP but it was too expensive. So ryt now since i am not experiencing pain i decided to first try ur procedure. What i wud lyk to ask u is that can i also do ur procedure eventhough i dont have my gallblader? is it safe for me to try it? because i really wanted to flush the stones i have without having to go for ERCP. Onething more i also had my Thyroidectomy 2 years ago and as of now im drinking Eltroxin bcoz my TSH is quite high so my dr. in thyroid gave me eltroxin as maintenance i started taking it last july only. So b4 i start the procedure i wud want 2 ask u if it is safe for me to do it…I hope u will b able to answer my questions.Thank u very much and God bless…
edelwise
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: Just to follow-up/ emphasize: ERCP is diagnostic procedure for liver, gall bladder, bile ducts and pancreas and it is not done only for bile duct stones -it is an examination of any obstructive condition of the connections of the liver-gall bladder-pancreas. You don’t need to take Epsom salts. Just do fruit detox as I have mentioned earlier.
September 6th, 2007 at 4:42 am
dear doc,
i wud also want to ask u if i can use fuji apples instead of green apples if ever id b trying the procedure? wat kind of apples must b taken or what kind of apples are the most effective in flushing out the stones in bile duct? and can i also not use the epsom salt becoz im nt sure if it safe for me to use it since i dnt hav my gallblader already? can you advice me on what to do so that i will not go through an ERCP and have it done naturally. Thank u so much and hope to hear from u soon…God Bless.
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: Green apples would be the recommended apples to eat for gall bladder flush. You should be aware that you don’t need the flush since your gall bladder has been removed. However, if your attending physician suspects that some stones are being formed in the ducts, these stones will be small since the risk of large stones occur only in the gall bladder. The ERCP is a diagnostic procedure for the liver, gall bladder, bile ducts, pancreas and I am not in a position to comment on the value of the procedure. It can help determine the cause of your abdominal pain. An ultrasound can also be done as an initial procedure. I would suggest that you just keep a diet of fruits especially acid fruits such as oranges, grapefruit. If you want to detoxify with fruits, do this: one very light meal for dinner and an overnight fast then drink your orange juice or red grapefruit or even just a glass of tomato juice in the morning a light toast without any oily food for breakfast the rest of the meals for lunch and dinner will be regular meals. You can do this once every month or every other month. Do this during weekends when you do not have to go out of the house to work. Do not do this if you feel sick.

hello doc,
this is the result of my ULTRASOUND.
GALLBLADDER: the organ measures 67X22 mm. with normal wall thickness. No evident pericholecystic fluid collection. there are multiple vari-sized, mobile shadowing echogenic structures seen intraliminally, the largest of which measures 15 mm. noted within the gallbladder neck. CBD is not dilated.
my SGPT is 279 u/l and i was prescribed with GODEX to first bring down my SGPT and i’ll have gallstones removed scheaduled on october by surgery.
THE LARGEST IS 15 mm. will your 20 hr fasting treatment still work for me or is it safe for me?
Im planning to start tomorrow or sunday. hoping you could answer me ASAP.
Thankyou for your time Doc.
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: A 15mm echogenic material could be difficult to expel, however, there may be smaller materials. If a surgery is already scheduled, then that is definitive. You don’t have to undergo the gall bladder flush because the surgeon would be able to get them all out. What would be useful, in case the gallbladder is retained, is for you to do preventive measures of future gall stones. In this case you will have to do gall bladder flushing, say 2x a year. The high SGPT indicates some form of liver pathology, possibly an inflammatory process due to obstruction. Since the gall bladder wall is not thickened, there is no sign that the gall bladder is inflammed (cholecystitis).

From Doc Emil:You can also watch Salamat Doc of ABSCBN which air Saturdays 6-7 and Sundays 7-8 which always feature medicinal plants and functional food. I will post information on medicinal plant preparations to this blogsite whenever there is a need to review old (folklore) material and new information from scientific studies become available.

I blend 1 piece fresh ampalaya about 6 inches long, mix with 1 small can pineapple chunks or slice and 1 piece fuji apple and drink it regularly two times a day, 1 glass in the morning and 1 glass in the evening after meals. It makes me feel good and no constipation. Is this mixture of the above-mentioned ingredients good for the health? Please reply and God bless you and more power.

dear doc,
gud morning, i am very thankful to see your response to my questions…Thank you very much for ur advice on what i will do instead of flushing it will be of great help. Rest assure that i will follow ur instruction on fruit detox…May the Lord continue to bless you and ur family because of ur great help to many people…Again thank you very much.
September 19th, 2007 at 2:17 pm
dear doc,
i’ve just found out that i have 4 stones all measuring 1cm. Would the cleansing/flushing method be effective with me? I’m already having mild but tolerable pain in my abdomen. I’m scared of surgery. I already started drinking apple juice which i bought from a supermarket. I also was able to buy EPSOM salt in Mercury Acropolis in Eastwood, Libis tel#3955220-3955223 for those who might be looking for it. Please advise doc, ASAP. Thank you and God bless
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: I think you still have a fair amount of success with the gall bladder flush. It worth the try. Gall bladder flush is generally an approach to natural detox, in the process you get rid of small stones (”nidus”) which are the starting materials for larger stones.
September 20th, 2007 at 5:27 am
Dear Doc Emil,
I have a gallstone measuring 2.17 cm. Will it be safe to do the gall bladder flush? I am worried about the gallstone being too big to flush out. Please advise me on this matter. Thanks.

September 21st, 2007 at 2:33 pm
dear doc,
i came across this article in http://www.liverdoctor.com, can you enlighten me more on this matter? my four gallstones measures 1cm each and my common bile duct only measure 4mm, the walls are not thickened. Thank you and God bless.
The article goes, “I have been diagnosed or believe I have gall stones – should I do a gall bladder/liver flush? No – this is not recommended as a first step. These flushes using olive oil, lemon juice or apple juice, etc. work by shrinking the stones and causing the gallbladder to contract forcefully to hopefully expel the stones to be passed in the feces. Alternatively, a teaspoon of good quality apple cider vinegar mixed with a teaspoon of honey in a small glass of warm water and sipped slowly during every meal can be taken to help dissolve the stones. These flushes are best done after at least 6 months of following the “Liver Cleansing Diet” principles and taking the recommended supplements to shrink and soften the stones before flushing. Once this has been done – the shrunken softened stones and remaining sludge may then be safely flushed out.
It is recommended to have an ultrasound of the gall bladder before undertaking the flush to determine the size of the stones. The reason being that if the gall bladder is full of silent gall stones and a flush is undertaken – these stones may become impacted in the narrow bile ducts as they are flushed out. This may cause a tear in the duct and requires immediate surgery.
September 23rd, 2007 at 5:36 am
my mother recenty diagnosed having gallstone.it was 13cm.can these stone size be flush out? Is size matter?how much is the maximum size did stone will able to be flush out?
Thank you doc and im hoping to hear you ASAP.
————————————————–
From Doc Emil: Gall stone size matter in terms of expulsion, the bigger the stone, the more difficult to expell. There are no studies that will give us information on what size of stone can be successfully expelled. I believe the size of stone that can be expelled would be less than 10mm. A size of 13cm is large and may require surgery. A doctor’s guide for a procedure would be x-ray with contrast or an ultrasound.
September 27th, 2007 at 7:50 am
Dear Doc.
thank you very much for your wonderfull natural procedure. yestarday I collect 7 green stone after following your advice. My family were happy and surprise. they did not expect that the stone will come out. Yet, I am wondering about how much stone our gallbladder may contain? and if these 7 stone I got is all what I have or there are other more stone in my gallblader?
Thank you very very very much,,,
Mona
————————————————–
From Doc Emil: The gall bladder can contain stones according to its ability to distend or enlarge. The appropriate approach, given that you were successful in eliminating the stones would be to do the gall bladder flush twice yearly or every 6 months. I would also suggest that you adopt a good diet that prevent stones from forming; have your lipid profile monitored every 6 months also. The reason is that cholesterol stones are the most common form and you probably would need to control your cholesterol levels from now on. Later, you can do the flush annually or even less when you are able to maintain a diet that can keep your cholesterol and other lipids within normal levels. It is important to take adequate amount of water to keep body salts from precipitating.

dear doc emil;
my mother was diagnose having 10 gallstone measuring 0.7 to 1.3 cm . i looked at the ultrsound whole abdomen report and please see the following measurement to be consider:
GB intraluminal diameter 2.3cm(N=
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: The intraluminal diameter of the gall bladder appear to have dilated or enlarged and this could be due to the stones in the gall bladder. The stones are already large and may require surgery or ERCP (see this site for reference: ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). I would advice you to consult a gastroenterologist for a careful evaluation and discussion of the intervention options.

Hi doctor.
I hope you can further enlighten us on the diagnosis given to my byfriend.
He had an ultrasound last July 2007 and these are the findings:
“The liver is normal in size and configuration. The echopattern is homogenous with no focal lesions seen. The hepatobiliary ducts are not dilated. The common bile duct measures 0.3 cm.
The gall bladder is normal in size. Its wall is not thickened. There is only one lithiasis noted which measures 1.1cm. There is also a medium non-mobile level echo lodged to the gallbladder wall, measuring 0.9cm in diameter.
The spleen and pancreas are normal in size, contour and echopattern with no focal mass lesion seen in them.”
He has already started with the 5-day apple therapy and has been feeling bloated eversince. We are down to the last step in the pocess.
QUESTIONS:
1. Is it expected that he’ll feel bloated?
2. What are the risks in doing the exercise given the diagnosis above?
We really appreciate your taking the time to enlighten us on this. Thanks so much.

Dear Doc Emil,
Is drinking apple juice not bad for diabetic person because of its sugar content. Will it not do more harm to the rising of blood sugar. And what about the virgin coconut oil will it not cause the rising of triglycerides in the body. Please reply before I recommend to my immediate family the natural way of flushing gallstones in the body.
Thank you very much and God bless

galing mga pinoy din… konting kwento from my own experience…
30yrs old. family business – benta ng baboy at baka sa palengke (Munoz Market) for more than 30 yrs.
i went to the national kidney institute to have a liver, gallbladder, pancreas ultrasound. cost php1200. result… liver and pancreas normal…. gallbladder normal in size but with thickened walls (.7cm) the doc said that the GB wall should be only paper thick. several calculi (stones?) with largest at 1.4cms. and 1.1cm seen in the gallbladder neck. common bile duct and biliary ducts are not dilated. and this i dont know… impression – calculous cholecystitis. dated sept 9,07
the doc said and the technician that i must be eating “masasarap” foods. well, been a meat lover eversince…. because of business.. steak are just ordinary for us. ayan tuloy napala ko hehehe.
laparoscopy ba yung tawag to remove the GB… i was told that it cost around 60K in a moderate private hospital… eh poor ako… cant shell out that much…. internet muna.
I tried the very next day after the ultrasound to take 1 pint (approx 500ml) of extra virgin oil with 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon. lemons bought at sm hypermarket… 1 kilo will do… sobra na eto. no epsom salts. wala kasi ako makita nito. but thx to you guys… sa mercury lang pala. just searched the net for this recipe.
every 15mins 4tablespoons of olive oil followed by 2 tablespoons of lemons. kapag di na kaya yung lasa, ive put some drops of peppermint oil sa olive oil. the taste of extra virgin olive oil is so strong. i have about 50ml of it left while i drank all the lemon juice. Went to sleep on my right side.
kinabukasan… i went to the cr around 7am… wala pa sya. around 11am… ayun… i saw them… sobra dami… karamihan kasinglaki lang ng pebble stones. may malaki rin. around afternoon… cr ulit… the biggest i got was almost 2cm big. i used a metal net sa ilalim ng toilet seat to catch my feces and triedwashing them of using a stick… ang natira… are green shiny slippery “stones”. jade in color. put some in a plastic bottle… but they melted in room temp. the pain in my right side below the rib cage was gone.i was very happy but still not contented.
I made a follow up flush after two weeks… with very less than satisfying result… maybe because i didnt fast before the flush and did not follow the instuction to the letter. i did this because of what i read that if you have gallstones in the GB you surely have stones in the liver ducts too. with the 1st flush i assumed that the other stones in the liver may have been pushed another load in the GB therefore needing another flush. i experienced severe pain na… did a less than 250ml olive oil flush with little lemon juice as my 3rd flush kaso masyado ako naging magalaw that day… wala lalo nangyari… right now im having chronic pain na. dati acute lang. but i can still tolerate the pain and its hard to move around.
Right now, im taking Zyme lecithin 1200mg around Php5 lang each after each meal. lecithin emulsifies the fat… i dont know if it helps in shrinking my stones. i hope so… im still looking for ways to help smallen or dissolve my stones para di hirap lumabas or magbara sa ducts… takot ako magka jaundice and kapag may bara na… life threatening daw sya. scary.
any help how to smallen or dissolve those green shiny stones would be great. cholesterol stones daw yun sabi sa mga nabasa ko.
sorry mahaba but true. btw i have pix of the 2cm stone sa cell. di ko lang alam paano mag attach dito for all of you to see. thanks for reading… comments doc emil?

Dear Doc Emil,
What do you mean by laparoscopic? Last week , The ultrasound report showed a 5m.m. Polyp within my gallbladder. I am a bit afraid upon learning this because I do not want my gallbladder be taken out. Does laparoscopy can take out just my polyp and not my entire gallbladder ?
I still did not see the doctor who requested the report .
I am glad I come across to this website. I am also a Filipino leaving here in the U.S.. I am waiting for your helpful response .
May God bless you.

doc,
the ultrasound report of my husband shows that he has a gallstone since this past days he was suffering from pain at the lower part or his ribs. then i remember there are some mails that i received bout this topic and plan to let my husband try it, but the problem is he has a hypertension…is it still possible for him to take epsom salt?would there be any side effects?
October 18th, 2007 at 7:27 am
Dear doc,
my husband has successfully flushed plenty green stones after following this procedure. he made if for twice already, but he has still problem with his feeling of bloatedness in his stomach. can you think of other disorder he may have? he has consulted several internal medicine experts but to no avail, please help. thank you for any information you can share with us. Good day!
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: Try to reduce by half the consumption of fatty food, including whole milk or dairy products. It may also be that he has dyspepsia. Eating small frequent meals will help reduce the bloating. Also take probiotics such as Lactobacillus (yogurt, yakult, chamyto, etc) to help improve digestion.

I am Bencie Vidal, a Filipino and a Computer Programmer by profession. In the year 2000, I started to feel like my stomach seemed to be full of air after eating fatty foods and that the food I’ve taken also seemed not have been grinded by my stomach inasmuch as few of the foods go up towards my throat. It became worst when I could feel pain in my backs and my epigastrium (see below, part of abdomen).
In the year 2006, I was having a medical check-up and my doctor recommended a blood test for having been diagnosed as hyper cholesterolnemia patient and also an ultra-sound examination for my pain problem mentioned above. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that I knew the reason of my back pain and pain in my epigastrium through the result of my ultra-sound examination because still at early stage I could control my eating habits. In my ultra-sound result, it was found out that I had two gallstones in my bladder with sizes “7.5 and 5.5 millimeters”. My doctor prescribed me medicines for my gallstones and cholesterol for the period of six months but unluckily I was only able to take medicines good for one month because the cost of the medicines is much high. The doctor told me that the cost of surgical operation is very expensive but I was given a free choice whether or not I have to undergo an operation. She told me that there are people who have not undergone surgical operation but just choose to take medicines. At that time, I have decided to take medicines considering my financial constraints but I was told by my doctor to abstain from eating fatty foods to keep from emergency surgical operation.
It’s true that after my doctor’s check-up, I experienced pain particularly after eating my supper (either eating fatty foods or eating non-fatty but stomach full) and while sleeping in the night which forced me to wake up because of the feeling of uneasiness in my epigastrium.
To relieve me from pain, for the first year after my pain started, I had to drink water then touched my tonsils and the inner part of my tongue just to vomit the food I had taken. But later on I have discovered the best pain reliever which is “HOT WATER”. Taking hot water causes stored air to get out from stomach by burping that’s why I felt relief. So for seven long years, I just took hot water to relieve me from pain.
Lately this August 2007, I have heard about an apple juice and an olive oil, a remover of gallstones from my wife who also got the information from her friend while attending their seminar relative to their office functions and a week after I also heard this from my office mate and she gave me a copy of the procedure to follow but it was translated in Visayan version. When I read the procedure I found the name Dr. Lai Chiu-Nan and I tried to find it in the internet and luckily found it. Here’s the web page: http://www.43things.com/entries/view/830135.
I have tried the procedure and this is my experience:
1. I bought apple juice with Tree Top brand containing two (2) liters, Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate), Olive oil, and small lemon fruits.
2. In the morning of Tuesday (August 28, 2007), at 6:00 o’clock, I divided the 2 liters into thirty (30) equal parts by marking the bottle. In every 30 minutes starting 6:00 a.m., I drank one (1) part of it. I did it daily from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 pm. I ended taking of apple juice on Monday noon (September 3, 2007).
3. I did NOT eat my Dinner anymore on the evening of Monday (September 3). What I did was, at 6:00 o’clock in the evening of Monday (September 3), I mixed one (1) teaspoon of Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate) with one (1) glass of warm water and drank it. (Note: Minutes after drinking Epsom salt, I went to the comfort room several times to move my bowels)
4. At 8:00 o’clock in the same evening, I repeated the same (taking Epsom salt). (I felt hunger but suffered it)
5. At 10:00 o’clock in the evening, I sliced lemon fruits, squeezed it and put the lemon juice into a glass. I mixed one-half (1/2) glass of Lemon Juice with one-half (1/2) glass of OLIVE OIL and drank it. I went to bed.
6. When I woke up in the morning of the next day (September 4, 2007), I went to the comfort room. I was wondering why there were still objects coming out from my bowel when in fact I already let it out the night before. So I examined the objects and I found out that it was colored white with some green colored fluids. I gathered all objects and it was a large size as a chicken egg. I washed the objects with water and the fluids were out and what was left were only the white objects and all white objects floated on the water. Each object was about ¼ of a bead of a corn grain. I pressed some of the objects and found out that it was like a frozen edible oil. I wanted to preserve the white objects by putting them on a paper and dry it under the heat of the sun but ALL were melted.
I believed those were the gallstones from my gall bladder. To prove that, on Tuesday (September 4, 2007) we had an office meeting and food were prepared for the participants. So I ate much including fatty foods like pork and beef and others. Then, I was observing for several minutes or even hours whether I could feel pain in my epigastrium and my backs. But luckily there was no more pain. Now, I could eat fatty foods and fill my stomach as much as it could contain. So the saying that says “AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTORS AWAY” is really true. Instead of spending P50,000.00 Philippine money for surgical operation, I only spent the following:
Apple Juice (Tree Top brand) –(P 138.00 x 6 bottles) ———– P 828.00
Epsom salt was given by a friend ———————————- 0.00
Olive oil ————————————————————— ——- 152.50
———–
TOTAL EXPENSES ——————————————— P 980.50

Hi Dr. Lai,
Like all the other people who have been grateful for your great blessing shared to those who need it, I wish to thank you for the wonderful information that you have given and made available tho those who would want to go for alternative treatments of gall stones. I have yet to try this for myself and for my mom, but we will in a few days time after reading this articles from this website. You have such a big heart and may your tribe increase. I hope I will have the privilege to meet you in person if I get the chance to go back to Singapore (I was based there for about two years). God Bless you,

Dear Doc Emil,
Just did a successful flush today. 2 1cm, 4 corn kernel size and several mongo bean size stones were flushed! I had an ultra sound taken last week and I will have another one to confirm that there are no remaining gallstones, otherwise I will do the flush again next month.
Thanks for the info about gallstone flush. You just saved me the cost of an operation! God bless you.

If the gallstones are too big and flushing may be risky as it may get stuck in the bile duct, is there any non-surgical alternative to break the stones into smaller pieces or even shrink the stones prior to flushing?
Will appreciate a prompt response.

Helo.
I was diagnosed with gallstones.I was advised to undergo operation. One big consideration is the money. One of my co-teacher shared me about this so called-flushing, so I tried surfing the net to validate. The problem is..the EPSOM salt, is it available now in davao city? Davao city the nearest access from us..
Thank you very much.

i tried the procedure 2 days ago. I flushed more less 30 black-green like thing in various sizes. I said thats it!….
I still experienced bloatedness on my stomach, I wonder if I threw away all the stones.. Is it safe for me to have a follow up flushing tommorrow? I just wanna make it sure that when I have my ultra-sound next week good news will happen… may i have your opinion on this ‘doc? please?…
thank you.. happy new year…
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: you can repeat the gall bladder flush after 1-2 weeks. After that, if you do it more frequent, say every week can be exhausting and electrolytes may be lost unnecessarily from loose bowel movement. An ultrasound will show if you need more flushing session, otherwise the next would be after 6 months.

To Jun Salmorin,
If you will back read the comments, Doc Emil advised to do the second flush after 2 weeks at least. I did that and I still expelled several stones. Hope this helps.

How do you get a gall bladder clean up?
January 14th, 2008 at 5:53 am
I have done flushing many times, if I’m not mistaken I’ve done it 8 times already. I’m doing it every two weeks or a month interval and still I’m expelling some stones. I have read in Dr. Hulda Clark’s Cleansing Program that it will take up to 20 times of flushing before you totally clean your gallstone.
you can read her Cleansing Program in this link:
http://www.newspiritservices.com/hulda.clarks.liver.cleans.html
or
http://www.drclark.ch/en/cleanses_clean-ups/liver_cleanses.php
Note:do not use grapefruit, lemon juice works better than grapefruit.
Hope this helps. thanks

Good Day and may tha lord bless you,Last week Feb.6 2008 i undergo for medical check up FMT clinic. The Doc. advice me immediate surgery to cope up the requirements of my agency to clear me up for a job as a seaman. Im affraid of surgery any advice to remove my gallbladder polyps.
Thanks.

From Doc Emil: As a rule gallbladder polyps are not removed if less than 1 cm; unless there may be compelling medical reasons for removing them, maybe being multiple? Unfortunately, no natural way can be done for your condition. I really don’t think it is a complicated surgery; gallbladder surgery is a common procedure. I will keep you in my prayers.

———————————–
From Doc Emil: In cholelithiasis (gall stone) there is usually cholecystitis (gall bladder inflammation/infection), the infection can be anything like gram-negative bacteria up to the usual typhoid bacilli. The presence of stones makes the gall bladder prone to infection. So because of this situation, expelling or removing (surgery) the gall stones will relieve the infection or inflammation of the gall bladder. In surgery, both gallstone and gall bladder can be removed so that infection is controlled much faster. So the answer is that you can proceed with the gall bladder flush. There has been several variations in the use of epsom salts. I would recommend that you take only 1 tsp in 1 cup of water in last day (5th day) which is followed by a mix of 1 cup olive or coconut virgin oil + lemon juice. Some add cola drink (1 cup oil + 1 tbsp lemon juice + 1/2 or 1 cup cola) to make it better tasting to swallow. Lie on the right side for 30mins to 1 hour – this allows the stones to pass out, aided by the epsom salt which relaxes the gall bladder; the oil with stimulates the gall bladder to contract and expel the stones. Then hopefully by the next day when you move your bowels, the stones will come out of your colon.

Hi, Doc Emil,
I would like to try the liver/gallbladder flush. I have epsom salt which I purchased at Healthy Options (MOA) – I use it only for footspa. I just had my Cholesterol check. It was so elevated at 246 while normal is 240. I read that these stones are composed of calcium and cholesterol. Can I take the gallbladder flush? I am worrying because I read this in one of the gallstone flush website:
Disclaimer
Consult your physician before doing the flush. There is always the possibility of complications from the flush. If the stones are too large and unable to pass through the bile ducts, not only could that cause excruciating pain, you could end up having your gallbladder removed in the emergency room. Gallstones are made of cholesterol primarily, but also calcium. If the stones are large and calcified, there is more chance for complications. If you know you have stones, find out the size and type from your doctor. If you know your stones are of the calcium variety or if they are very large, do NOT attempt the Liver / Gallbladder flush!
March 3rd, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Dear doc,
I read a report that says that the greenish to yellowish stones floating after flushing are actually remnants of the olive oil that had been taken during the night or other fatty substance inside the body and it is not the actual stones inside the gall bladder. How true is this? Do you have any information to verify this report ? Did anybody who tried the natural remedy verified or checked that indeed the real gallstone/s were flushed out and that the gall bladder was cleansed of any gallstone. Need your help. I want to try this natural cleansing.
Thank you and regards

Dear Doc,
I had an ultrasound of the upper abdomen and found out that I have gallstones ranging in size 1.54 to 8.8mm. With the 8.8mm size is it safe to flush? Am not sure if they are of calcium or cholesterol composition. Also I had SGPT,my doc said i had viral infection of the liver but did not specify what type. What test should I take to get specific result? Can cranberry juice be a substitute for apple juice since I’ve been taking it for sometime now? I am also taking Rowachol for about 2 months now but still experiences upper abdominal pain.I also would like to ask if gallbladder flushing can minimize bloatedness.
I would appreciate it very much if you can reply in my email ad. Thank you very much and more power.

Dear Doc,
Last Mar. 7, 2008 I was rushed to the ER of a hospital in Quezon City due to severe abdominal pain. The doctor had to give me twice dosage of strong pain reliever via IV at two hour interval to subside the pain. Had underwent several lab tests including ultrasound. I underwent ultrasound for two hours as My stomach is full of air, they said, and found out that I have 2 gallstones, each measuring 4.2 cm. One stone is inside my gallbladder behind the neck and the other one is in the neck.
By the way, before Mar. 7 I have already undergone ultrasound but found only one gallstone measuring 2 mm. by a different doctor. I was prescribed to take Rowachol capsules 3 x a day 30 min. before meal and UDCA 3 x a day, too but after each meal. I have started taking those medicines since Feb. 28, 2008.
Going back to my story where I was rushed to ER, after the lab tests and the ultrasound, they found out that there’s nothing wrong with my liver, gallbladder, pancreas, except that I am anemic and has two big gallstones.
Accdg. to the doctor, surgery is optional and I just have to continue taking my medicines and just prescribed me Dolcet for future abdominal pain and Pantoloc (1 tab. per day for 14 days) to release the air from my stomach.
My concern is, with the sizes of my stones, is the flushing procedure safe for me even though I’m already taking medicines? Do I have to stop taking those medicines when I start the procedure? I am hesitant to give it a try because of the testimony sent thru this site by Mareigh. I’m afraid that I will experience hers because of the sizes of my stones.
Please enlighten me, doc.
Thank you,
Emy

Dear Doctor,
My mom was just told by a doctor she has multiple gallstones from size 0.6 – 1.5 cm. She also has swelling on her side where the gallbladder is.
Is this flush safe for her?
Thanks!
March 18th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
Dear Doc,
This is a follow-up of my letter dated Mar. 16. I am forwarding herewith
my exact ultrasound result:
Gallbaldder: The gallbladder is distended measuring 9.8 x 4.5 cm. and
shows multiple intraluminal shadowing echogenicities. The
largest of which is located at the region of the Hartman’s
pouch measuring about 1.7 cm. The wall is not thickened
Common duct is not dilated.
Impression: Distended gallbladder with cholelithiases.
Liver: The liver shows mild increased reflectivity of its parenchyma.
No discrete mass lesion nor dilated intrahepatic ducts.
Impression: Mild fatty infiltration of the liver.
Pancreas: The head and body of the pancreas are normal in size,
shape and echopattern. No discrete mass lesion seen.
The pancreatic tail is obscured by overlying gas.
Impression: Normal head and body of the pancreas.
Doc, I need your own interpretation regarding the above, and your
recommendation if I can try the flushing procedure safely without the risk
of rushing to the ER again for severe abdominal pain. I’m afraid of any
operation and the amount it may cost me.
Thank you,
Emy

Dear Dr. Emil,
I have read this article and I am very happy that there is actually a natural way of removing gallstones. It’s such a blessing especially to those who are financially incapable of undergoing surgery.
My mother was diagnosed to have a 0.6 cm gallstone with 0.4 cm polyp. Aside from that, she also has a heart disease. She was given some medications to shrink her gallstone but apparently after taking the medicines for almost three months now, there has been no change in gallstone size as per her recent ultrasound result. You have mentioned that the polyp can only be removed through surgery, and only polyps 1 cm above in size require surgical removal. Her doctor advised her to take the medicines for 6 months in the hopes of shrinking the gallstone. But I am afraid that the polyp might get bigger and bigger, and might post a more serious risk (God forbid.. cause I have read that polyps could lead to cancer). I want to ask what the safest procedure is to remove both the gallstone and the polyp at the same time. And considering her heart condition (she has cardiac arrhythmia) will the surgery be safe for her? Though I really, really hope that there is also a natural way to shrink or remove the polyp. Thank you very much Dr. Emil for your reply. God bless you always for trying to reach out to people in need.
God bless you,
Erin

i post a blog here several weeks ago, however no reply has been noted. i have a 15.97mm gall stone which i do not want to risk flushing because it will block the common bile duct. my goal now is just to shrink it to flushable size. however, recently, i have been experiencing upper middle abdominal hyperacidity-like pain which surprisingly occurs only in the afternoons. i was informed that gall stone pain is in the upper right abdomen, just below the right rib, but the pain i am experiencing is in the middle.
is it possible that the upper right abdominal pain which characterizes cholecystitis is just radiating the pain such that it is felt and experienced in the middle?
is there anyone in here who experienced the same discomfort?
please share your experience.
many thanks,
clen
March 25th, 2008 at 6:33 am
To Clen,
I used to have that pain in the middle just below the sternum. I thought it was heartburn and kept taking anti-acids like Zantac. I only found out that I have gallstones when I had an ultrasound after a painful attack and my urine turned red or dark orange. My doctor diagnosed it right and she wanted an operation.
The attack usually happen in the evening or early morning after a fatty meal. I use to have this pain at least once a month. Also, I always feel bloated after a meal. After I did the flush (5 months ago), I’m now free of the pain and the bloated feeling after meals. I plan to do another flush next month and every 6 months thereafter for maintenance.
Hope this helps. See also my other post above.

————————————————-
From Doc Emil: Yes you can do gall bladder flush even monthly. It does not guarantee immediate results but you can do it often. The key procedure is to refrain from eating oily food and meat (pork, beef, chicken skin) during the days when you have to be on fruits and vege. This is to allow your gall bladder to rest and then on the day you need it to expell, oil and citrus juice are used to “open” it up and expell the stones (if any). It becomes a way of life for people who use natural therapy to detox on a regular basis.
April 3rd, 2008 at 2:49 pm
dear doc emil,
i am expelling gas usually very foul smelling during the evening. is this related to gallstones present in my gallbladder? I have already done the flush several times and have expellled lots of objects described above.
pls advise.tnx
————————————————-
From Doc Emil: You should try vege juice detox. http://www.gonatural.com.ph/blog/?cat=1 -> This is the celery-parsely juice, blend with raw malunggay leaves ( 1 cup) and pineapple juice, pass through a medium mesh strainer to remove large fibers. Make 1 glass daily and drink it for 1 week. Do not eat pork or beef for during this period. Before any meals (try in the morning) take lactobacilli (Chamyto or Yakult) daily for 1 week. This should be able to remove majority of any unwanted bacteria in your body. If you are successful, maintain this regimen 2-3x a week – no animal meat for the day only fish, vege and fruits.

Doc,
Your Herbal Blog about flushing off the gallstone is a great topic in SURGEONSBLOG, they called your flushing stuff a “Quack” by a certain Doctor Sid. Can you answer them?
Mel
April 10th, 2008 at 3:01 am
To Mel,
Doc Emil need not answer but here is my take on it:
flushing = less than 500 pesos
operation = more than 100,000 pesos
Of course, surgeons will not like you to do a flush! Get it?
Anyway, I was told by my doctor to undergo a gallbladder operation last November until I got hold of this info about flushing. I did it and I got rid of my gallstones! I’m very happy that I’m not 100,000 pesos poorer! Need I say more?

Hi,
My wife has completed this procedure, didn’t help at all. She is suffering more pain than before.
Please don’t misguide the persons who are already suffering in pain.
GOD help you all.
April 24th, 2008 at 2:07 am
To Lee,
If your wife is already suffering from pain of having gallstones then you should have consulted a doctor first and have the gallbladder removed if that is what is needed.
If you have read carefully flushing may not remove big gallstones. Don’t blame the procedure if it didn’t not work for your wife. You are the one who is misguided.
It worked for me and a close friend. I hope other people will benefit from it too!

Dear Doc,
Good morning, I have several questions:
1. What is really the size of the biliary duct and/or the common bile duct and how far can it extend.
i have tried the gallstone flush, after 3 days had bloated feeling, I then went to the doctor for an u/s. the reports showed that I have mutliple stones in the neck of the bile and the largest measuring 8.7mm. I also have cholecystitis – thickened wall.
The doctor has given me rowachol to be taken for a month and motilium for my bloated stomach ( gasses in stomach) for the meantime. However, i am led to believe that this is not a guarentee that my gallstone will get smaller.
Right now, i am still experiencing back pains in the morning and prickel pains in my lower right abdomen.
2. If i try the gallstone flush again, Can i use a grapefruit juice from concentrate ( commercially bottled) to be added in the olive oil? or better still
3. If the stones gets lodged in the bile after taking the flush, What follow up action should i do? Is there another set of gallstone flush recipe to flush out the lodged stones in the bile?
4. Can you recommend anybody here in Mindanao, that can medically supervise me when i take the gallstone flush?

Ang Ultrasound result ko po ay may finding na, 1.0 x 0.8 cm na gallstone sa gallbladder. My kidney is not functioning well, in fact, nagda dialysis na po ako twice a day because of high creatinine, and planning to have a transplant soon. Kailangan po raw maalis ang gallstone ko bago ko ma transplant, to avoid any complication later. At meron ba po kayong a i suggest sa akin tungkol sa kidney. I want to save my kidney, normal pa ho ang size accordng. to ultrasound, sa filteration of ang problema.

Alcohol won’t preserve and will dissolve them! I know because that’s what I did. Freezing may work.
My 3rd and last flush didn’t produce any though!

Dear Doc,
I have a friend who has kidney stones. Is is advisable to use this natural treatment? She does not have a galbladder anymore
thanks a lot

From Doc Emil: Ask your friend to take sambong tablets 500mg 4x daily for 3 months and recheck the kidney for stones.

If you will backread, Doc Emil already answered that question. He suggested sambong tablets.

hi doc,
i’ve been drinking tarragon tea for a month now. I want to improve my tea by chopping the tarragon leaves before boiling in water. Is it fine?
can i store the tea in the ref so i wont boil the leaves everytime? how long can i store the tea in the ref.
thanks!
———————————–
From Doc Emil: It is alright to chop your tarragon when you prepare them for tea. Don’t store the leaves fresh, air dry them and store in a jar and put it in the refrigerator.

hi doc,
i have multiple gallstones ( more than 10)…the largest is 0.70 cm and 1 stone in my common bile duct measuring 0.31. i am scheduled for operation this next 2 days. do i have a greater chance to flush all those stones? i am planning to cancel my operation..
For your advice.
thank you.
May 20th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
May 23rd, 2008 at 6:43 am
Hi doc, hope to hear from you your thoughts about my previous email. thanks so much
May 23rd, 2008 at 6:45 am
Hi greg, that is awesome — flushing quite big gallstone. What instructions did you follow in the flushing?
May 28th, 2008 at 5:08 am
Dear Doc,
Last year i was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, i was hospitalized and thank God I am fully recovered now. I have a fast recovery since i have not diagnosed with hepatitis. Last time i had my check up and my doctor advised me to have a surgery to remove the stones on my gall bladder. My cousin informed me of your method and gladly welcomed the idea. So, with your permission and good heart, i would like to share to you my ultrasound report, for you to be able to give recommendations/suggestions before doing the flushing.
The gallbladder is normal in size and configuration. Its wall is not thickened. There are at least 3 bright echoes with shadowing measures 9-10mm. The common duct is dilated n measures 3.6 mm. The visualized segments shows no evidence of lithiases or any other abnormalities.
Hope to hear from you soon dok.
May 28th, 2008 at 5:12 am
BTW, I am 45 years old from Marikina City. Is it okay dok to do the flushing given the above results and conditions? Thank you.

Dear Doc,
A friend of mine found anhydrous epsom salt (diluted in water and injectible) is this safe to take in?
Please advice.
June 16th, 2008 at 5:58 am
Doc Emil,
I was rushed to the hospital several weeks ago due to severe stomach pains. This is the first time that I’ve experienced it and the pain was really excruciating. After a few days, the result of the ultrasound was released, and according to it, I have a gallstone measuring 1cm.
The doctor advised me to schedule for an operation, but I remembered that a former co-employee has emailed me a natural way of removing gallstones by Dr. Chiu Nan, and decided to try it first before being cut open.
I followed the procedure as directed, and on the morning of the 7th day, after drinking the olive oil/lemon mixture, several green globules were present in my stool. They are varying in sizes, the biggest would be 1cm, and 5 or more measuring between 4mm to 6mm. Other than that I also noticed several small ones about the size of a bird seed (maybe 20-50).
Doc, are the green globules really the gallstones? I’ve talked to someone who has already undergone operation, and they say that the stone that was extracted from them is black not green.
Thank you very much for your very informative site and more power!
P.S.
For those who would like to try the procedure, I’d just like to say that be ready for the taste of the epsom salt dilluted in water. It tastes so bad you want to throw up, but it’s all worth it in the end.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:42 am
Hi doc,
I was really happy when I received a forwarded email abt removing gallstones naturally and happier when i found this site. I would really want to try flushing these gallstones. But 2 yrs ago i undergone 2 ultrasounds and found out that i have fatty liver but no stones in my gallbladder. My doctor advised me to control the food tha i eat and i have this medication because i have a high cholesterol. Now, I exercise everyday and i started to be careful about the food that i eat.
I just want to know if you also have some natural remedies for my fatty liver.
Thank you so much.
July 7th, 2008 at 3:45 am
To those of you who are fooled by the nonsense here: the formula causes curdling of the oils you ingest and they pass as globs that look like something some people are convinced are gallstones. I can assure you they are not. The method described here absolutely DOES NOT cure gallstones. For those of you who have had stones documented, by ultrasound or whatever, you have the perfect proof: do this silliness if you choose, and then get another ultrasound. As surgeon who has cared for thousands of people with gallbladder problems, many of whom have been fooled into trying this fakery, I promise you you will see no change whatsoever. Some will say I’m just protecting my turf. I’m not. I’m retired. I have no axe to grind other than to see to it that people get the care they need and are not lured into wasting their time, money, and health on bogus cures. I wrote about this many months ago on my blog. Read it here if you want the scoop:

hi doc,
my sister has neuritis-the doc said. for a week now she has intense pain from her left shoulder to the neck up to her head. last week her left face was numb and the teeth were really painful (she said). the doc gave her nerve medicines and steroid. the teeth and the face problem is gotten rid of, however the pain in her shoulder and neck is killing her. she can’t actually raise her left hand. i read a lot of articles about Trigeminal neuralgia and i came this article about hot bath with epsom salt. It said that it will relax the nerves and will help ease the pain. Since last night, i and my family are looking for the epsom salt. where can we buy it… adn doc, please explain this illness. haven’t heard of this sickness until this week.
thanks and God bless you

i have been diagnosed with two very small gall bladder stones, 3 months ago
however, i am afraid to try this remedy because of the 1/2 cup olive oil….. i had liver problem when i was younger, and a year ago, i tried taking virgin coconut oil, and for a while i started to feel something in my liver side…. could it be that there is some sort of reaction because of the oils?
thanks…

Myself & my wife have tried the above procedure of flusing out the gall stones just 2 days back (on 02-09-2008). We have succeeded to a large extent. We have found green deposits floating in the stools on the 7 th day morning. Ultra Scanning to be done for further confirmation.
We have been sharing this success with all of our friends and relatives for the last two days. We are suggesting them to go through this procedure irrespective of gall bladder problem simply because it stregthens digestive system through liver cleansing.
Thanking you very much Dr Lai Chiu-Nan and others who have shared this valuable information.

Dear Sir,
Having known that i have multi gallbladder stones March last year bcoz i feel so much pain at the right side of my abdomen. The doctor advise 4 ultrasound and found out around 5 stones at different sizes and advise for immediate laparoscopy but instead i ingore it. I just eat less fatty food as advise some of my friend working in OR bcoz im afraid for the operation. I tried out your procedure but i found out no result. Is it maybe bcoz of wrong procedure. Could i try it again before i’m having my operation? I plan for an operation next month.

Hi Doc,
I have tried the gallbladder flush a week ago… But i guess it was not successful maybe because instead of taking epsom salt i took dulcolax because I do breastfeeding. I’m not sure if epsom salt is safe for breastfeeding mom. I want to make sure the flush is successful because I have my sugery for my gallbladder removal on Dec. 18, 2008. I am afraid to undergo surgey.
And also I am planning to take sambong capsule or milk of magnesia. Is it also safe for breastfeeding moms?
I am planning to repeat the flush, but I am having constipation with apple juice so I decided to replace it with prune juice.
What will be the best thing to do?
Thanks!

Hi abby.
there was a reply rgd breastfeeding mum on previous post. I’m the one who has gone thru this method.(i’m breastfeed too). What i did is, once u take epsom salt, pls dont breastfeed ur child. U can express the milk, but pls discard it. After 24hours taking epsom salt, then u can breastfeed ur child again. But get ready to taste epsom salt….
Dr.emily..where hv u been..we all need ur advise.

My officemate gave me the formula for gallstone flushing and I did because my latest ultra sound revealed that I have gallstones ranging from 8mm to 10mm. I strictly followed the procedure and on the sixth day, right after I have taken yhe first teaspoon of epsom salt, i hurriedly ran to the CR for non-stopping of vowel releases which increases until the olive oil calamansi juice mixture had been taken. This continued overnight until the second day after the 6th day. I found lots of greeneish and brownish very small particcles in my vowel ranging from the size of a rice grain to the size of an atis seed. Right now, i was so relieved of my previous lower right abdomen ache and the feeling of boatedness felt montjs before. Tomorrow, i scheduled for a repeat ultra sound to check and confirm whether its really gallstones that were been flushed. After then, I’ll publish my before and after ultra sound result.

Hi anin,
Thanks for that info, but my girl doesnt like bottle feeding that’s my main problem.
And also for those who cant find epsom salt in there location, dulcolax is a good alternative. We have couple of people in our church who had a gallstones and they tried the regiment. But instead of taking epsom salt on the 6th day they took dulcolax. And it worked!

Dear all,
Let me add my self to the successful flushers! I went through the process for the past 4 days (I actually drank the apple juice for 3 days only) and did the fasting and Epsom Salt on the 4th day.
Based on my last Ultrasound, the biggest stone was 0.75cm. One of the stones I expelled this morning was exactly that size so I guess that was it.
To all the folks looking for epsom, they have it at the mercury branch in taguig / pateros), the street across C-5 if you are coming from Kalayaan (go straight).
Big thank you for this site and good luck to everyone. This stuff really works.

hi doc.
i just opened this blog today. i did this cleansing last month of may 2008 and found it effective. it really worked. i suffered gallstones problem for quiet 2 years. i undergone some medical diagnoses in different hospitals and took different pain relievers just to ease the pain but it didn’t work for long. all the doctors who diagnosed me advised me to undergo surgical operation. they told me that it’s the only way to cure the problem. i refused to because they told me that after the operation it is very necessary for me to rest for a year to fully recover from surgical operation. in other words, i have to stop working.
this has been a challenge for me to find more solution until i found a website which recommended cure for a gallbladder problem in a natural way. the above recommendation is what i followed since it’s simple and affordable.
i followed the instructions carefully and completely. first, i prepared apples and was able to buy epsom salt at the store that sales medical laboratory supplies. then, i started the process of cleansing for 5 five days.on the 6th day i did the final procedure. truly, i felt uneasy and sicked on that particular day. the more when i tasted and drank a glass or glasses of epsom salt and olive oil which was mixed with kalamansi juice. on the 7th day i’d got so many stone-liked particles released from my body. they mixed with my stools. those didn’t hurt me or i didn’t experience even a little amount of pain. they were just released normally.
i was so happy that day and even now. my feeling has greatly changed. i didn’t experience pain at my right side at all. my appetite and stamina are back to normal. my attending physician at PGH has witnessed me feeling healthy again when a last visited her for a post check up. she told me to continue the cleansing using the apple every 6 months and make it a part of my daily meal. especially, everytime i eat fatty foods.
i highly recommend the above cleansing procedure. i can prove it’s effective and it’s really working!!! try and follow the procedure… nothing more nothing less… and, you’ll see it’s effectiveness in curing your gallstone problem.
December 22nd, 2008 at 12:54 am
norman:
before taking the apple & olive oil flushing, do you have your ultrasound? after a successful flushing of gallstones, as you said, have you undergone ultrasound again to check and confirm if the gallstones are gone or flushed out?
i’ve done also this flushing and followed the procedure carefully. on my first ultrasound which is feb. 2008, my stones measures 1.52 cm and 0.85 cm. then i performed the flushing sometime june or july 2008. then had again my ultrasound last august 2008 and my stones are still there – 1.41 cm. and 1.26 cm.
so i guess, it was NOT successful on my part.
December 22nd, 2008 at 5:07 am
sometimes it takes more than one flush to get rid of all the stones.
January 2nd, 2009 at 2:04 pm
hi doc,
I was diagnosed to have gallstone last november but I dont want to undergo an operation. my gallstone is 2.5 cm as per ultrasound, i don’t know if this size will pass through if i do flushing. And I had the second thought to do the flushing after I read the posting of Nadeem. Doc please comment on this matter. Thanks
January 8th, 2009 at 1:48 am
2.5 CM IS SOMEWHAT BIG AND MIGHT NOT PASS THROUGH THE BILE DUCT AND YOU MIGHT HAVE TO UNDERGO AN OPERATION. REDUCING YOUR INTAKE OF FAT COULD HELP DELAY THE INCREASE IN SIZE OF THE STONE –USUALLY CHOLESTEROL STONES. HOWEVER, IF THE SIZE IS 2.5 x 1.5 OR ELONGATED, IT MIGHT PASS THROUGH.
January 8th, 2009 at 6:42 am
Hi Doc,
I have read the testimonials of some and I am interested to try it. But I am worried if, what if, I have a large stone and during the flushing will stucked up in the duct. Is it ok Doc, to first take the raddish juice as you suggested from the other? Just to make sure that the stone will be reduced to smaller one…Can I mix epsom salt on the raddish juice? How many days will I take? Then, after taking raddish juice, I would undergo the flushing process. Please advise.
Thanks and regards,
MG
January 9th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Hi doc,
where can i buy radish juice? is it available in our local supermarket? or is it our local labanos vegetable or the purple in color type?
thanks and regards

dear doc emil,
i wrote you sometime last sept 19 2007 when i found out that i have multiple gallstones present in my gallbladder measuring 10mm each, the walls are not thickened, duct measures 4mm . My doctor in St. Luke’s advised me that it is what they call silent stones and doesn’t need immediate surgery if it doesn’t bother me. I even asked the doctor if I could try doing the flush where he answered,(not so enthusiastically), that I could give it a try. I stayed away from red meat or fatty foods since I discovered them because eating them would cause pain (which is tolerable) in my upper right abdomen. Also, I’m really scared of surgery. So, I tried doing the flushing method in June 2008, exactly as what is advised here. But unfortunately, the bowel movements I had after taking the oil severely dehydrated me, to the point that I lost consciousness several times and completely lost control of my bowel. I was rushed by my husband to St. Luke’s Hospital and was admitted in the critical section of the emergency room due to the severe dehydration I suffered and stayed in the hospital until I’ve recovered. Now, I’m already considering undergoing surgery, because after all that has happened, the stones are STILL in my gallbladder. I’m not trying to scare anyone but I suppose that the flushing method is definitely NOT for everyone. Thankfully, I was told, I’m still young to not have suffered cardiac arrest when I reached a blood pressure of 70/60. If anyone feels they want to give it a try, be sure that there is someone to watch over you while undergoing the flush… just in case… Now, I still stay away from red meat or fatty food. I eat more of veggies and fish, I go sparingly on dairy products. I regularly monitor my gallbladder through ultrasound and thank the Lord that I’m still alive to look after my young children. And if I am asked if I would give flushing method another try, I wouldn’t (in my case). I don’t blame you though, but it just wasn’t for me. I hope this feedback could help someone somehow, and please post this so that others could be informed of the risk they are going to take. I still visit your website because I really find it informative and i believe in going natural. Below is the copy of my email to you last sept 19 2007. Thank you and God bless!

dear doc,
i’ve just found out that i have 4 stones all measuring 1cm.

From Doc Emil: I think you still have a fair amount of success with the gall bladder flush. It worth the try. Gall bladder flush is generally an approach to natural detox, in the process you get rid of small stones (”nidus”) which are the starting materials for larger stones.
January 17th, 2009 at 1:43 am
RADISH JUICE IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET BUT YOU CAN EXTRACT THE JUICE USING AN ORIDINARY JUICE EXTRACTOR
January 17th, 2009 at 1:44 am
YES PLANT JUICES ARE RECOMMENDED TO CALM THE GALL BLADDER, YOU CAN TAKE RADISH JUICE OR GREEN APPLE JUICE BEFORE THE FLUSH.
January 17th, 2009 at 1:45 am
DIARRHEA CAN REALLY HAPPEN BECAUSE OF THE OIL. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO TOLERATE FOOD WITH “GATA” OR SIMILAR VERY OILY FOODS OR YOU EASILY GET DIARRHEA FOR NO APPARENT REASON THEN THE FLUSH IS NOT FOR YOU
IN SOME CASES, EATING ONLY FRUITS OR JUST DRINKING FRUIT JUICES IN PLACE OF REGULAR MEALS RESULTS IN DIARRHEA, IF THIS IS YOUR CASE, THEN DO NOT DO THE GALLBLADDER FLUSH

doc emil,
I was diagnosed with cholelithiases and cholcystitis last december, my doctor told me to avoid fatty and oily meals. He also told me to have an ultrasound again after 2 weeks. I did the fasting. When i went to the hosp for my GB ultrasound, they said that my GB is contracted and they cannot see the gallbladder. They told me to go back after 3 days. So again I did the fasting. When i went back to the hosp after 3 days for a re-scan, they told me again that they cannot see my gallbladder. I’m really depressed. I don’t know what happened. What do yo think is the best thing to do. I need your help. thanks and hoping for your immediate reply

EPSOM SALTS CAUSES THE GALL BLADDER TO CONTRACT AND EXPELL THE STONES. THE GREEN STONES WERE DUE TO THE BILE SALTS. DOING GALL BLADDER FLUSH EVERY 6 MONTHS IS OK AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT DEVELOP ACUTE/UNCONTROLLED DIARRHEA IN THE PROCESS – WE SHOULD AVOID GETTING DEHYDRATED

doc emil,
thank you for your reply, i’m just thinking if the flush would be safe for me, the doctor said that aside from having multiple gallstones, my gallbladder does not normally function anymore, it’s already inflamed and scarred that’s why it shrinked. Can i still do the gallbladder flush? I need your advice. thanks

hi doc,
I have been suffering from severe attacks of having gall stones in my gall bladder. My ultra sound scan showed I have multiple gall stones of 4mm. I would like to know if the flush will help remove the 4mm stones. Also is a 4mm stone considered large? I am worried that it may get stuck in a duct and obstruct bile release (which I believe will cause jaundice). please advise. thanks
January 28th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
I would also like to add that I have a constant but bearable pain below my right rib cage. thanks.
January 29th, 2009 at 10:02 am
i went to another doctor and he told me that the only treatment for chronic cholecystitis is surgery, my gallbladder has to be removed to avoid gallbladder cancer in the future. Is this true? i’m scared of surgery. pls.give me advice. tnx
January 30th, 2009 at 1:37 am
IF THAT’S THE CASE YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT THE FLUSH BECAUSE IT MIGHT NOT WORK OR WILL CAUSE YOU PAIN
February 3rd, 2009 at 2:33 am
Hi Doc, I am pregnant and was diagnosed to have multiple gb stones, non-obstructive. The averag size is 4.4mm. Until I give birth, my doctor advised me to go on a low fat diet. At the same time, I also have a terrible case of hyperacidity. Would drinking 4 glasses of apple juice a day for 5 days make my hyperacidity worse? And is this natural procedure safe for my condition? I would really want to go natural than take medication or undergo operation later on. Thanks Doc.

doc emil,
i tried drinking radish juice for 15 days, i had 2.5cm gallstone. after my 2nd U/S my gallstone now is 2.3cm. i guess this is because of radish juice i take. im still worried to do the flushing.
by the way epsom salt is available at Mercury Drugstore Glorietta Branch beside the HardRock Cafe.
FROM DOC ALIGUI:
-Radish juice can help reduce your cholesterol which is the usual composition of gallstones. Regular intake of radish juice can potentially reduce bad cholesterol and can slowly minimize the size of gallstones over time.
February 6th, 2009 at 3:10 pm
hello doc! tanong ko po kung pwede ang ibang epsom salt? pero pareho pong magnesium sulfate? ok lang po ba yon doc?
FROM DOC ALIGUI: -If it says magnesium sulfate, it is also called Epsom salt. There’s no problem as long as it is fit for oral intake and not contaminated with any substance.
February 10th, 2009 at 10:14 am
Just want to know, for those who hv succesfully done this flushing, how long can this flushing help you from been attacked again or the stone comes again?Pls give a feedback. My baby will look for the breast everytime she awake. I can’t run from this. Pls give advise. Thanks
February 12th, 2009 at 2:33 am
apple juice even improve your digestion and hyperacidity, it is safe.
February 12th, 2009 at 2:36 am
gallbladder cancer due to cholecystitis is rare but the risk remains. It would be advisable to follow the doctor’s advice to have it removed.

Hello,
Thank you for helping so many of us. I’m a male in my early 40’s. I had a gallbladder attack last month. About 2 yrs ago I had an ultrasound after my 1st gallbladder attack which showed a few stones I think the biggest was 5mm. No problems again until I hate a heavy meal with red meat, which triggered the last attack last month. I had mild nausea and indigestion for about a month. Now I feel good. Ultra sound now shows several stones, and mild inflammation. CT scan verifies and shows mild wall thickening. I’ve begun the apple juice diet and procedure and watching what I eat. Is it safe for me to try to flush these stones? If the gallbladder wall has begun thickening can it recover after the stones are flushed and following a healthy diet? Or is it too late once the wall starts to thicken? My doctor wants to do a HIDA scan next. I should state that I’m healthy, no jaundice or fever, All blood tests are normal. But am constipated. Brown to lighter brown stools that float. Trying to be as detailed as I can as I want to keep my gallbladder if possible.
Thank you
FROM DR. ALIGUI: Not all cases of gallstones with gallbladder thickening will fail with the gall bladder flush, the success is largely dependent on the size of the stone. The size of the stone should be small enough o pass through the bile duct in order to get flushed out. A HIDA scan can give information if there is obstruction in the gall bladder duct. The gallbladder wall can recover from thickening if any obstructive process is relieved. I would still consider doing a flush and re-evaluation by follow-up ultrasound or CT scan. Assuming a healthy diet can help especially cutting down on fatty food that raises cholesterol, even if you are not considering any surgery. The fact that you have stones indicates that there is already something wrong in your diet. Your food consumption, red meat consumption and fatty food consumption should all be reduced. The pain you experienced was probably due to the gallbladder secretion of bile in response to a heavy or fatty meal

My mom is 68 of aged and suffering from gallstone.
The doctor only says “She has gallstone, she has to undergo an operation, it’s your decision….” and immediately turned his back and no more explanation. Would you recommend us the flushing method based on below ultrasound report:
WHOLE ABDOMEN
Liver is normal in size with smooth margins. The parenchyma is homogeneous in echopattern. No mass or calcifications are seen. The common bile duct & intrahepatic ducts are not dilated. Gallbladder is in normal size and configuration. The wall not thickened. A 1.2 stone is noted in the gallbladder neck with associated mobile layering echogenic focus within. No pericholecystic fluid appreciated.
Pancreas, spleen and abdominal aorta are unremarkable. No focal lesion is noted.
Both kidneys are in normal in size and echotexture. The right measures 9.2 x 3.5 x3.8cm while the left measures 10.1 x 3.5 x 3.9 cm. No lithiasis, mass or caliectasia are noted in the central echo complexes. The cortices are intact.
Urinary bladder is unremarkable.
The Uterus is surgically absent.
No ascites is noted.
IMPRESSION
Cholelithiasis/es with associated bile sludge and/or microlithiases.
Normal liver, biliary tree, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, urinary blabber and abdominal aorata.
Status-post TAHBSO.
FROM DR ALIGUI: If the stone is 1.2mm (no unit was indicated here in the query), I think she can try doing the gall bladder flush. Again be careful about diarrhea because prolong diarrhea can cause serum potassium to go down

Hi Doctor,
I got Magnesium sulfate from one of my friend working with a pharma laboratory, but he said not to use it, as it is a reagent and may have impurities. Please advice can I use it, as i could not get it any other place or medical store.
Also, please advice in this period can I take my regular drugs (Homoeopathy and Ayurvedic) for Gall stone.
FROM DR. EMIL:
He is right, you should take only pharmaceutical grade magnesium sulfate. There have been reports of successful flush even without magnesium sulfate or Epsom Salt.
February 25th, 2009 at 2:15 am
Doc,
can i take my diabetes medicines with the flushing procedure?
please help.
FROM DOC EMIL: Yes you can but your antidiabetic medication should also be adjusted since you will go on a diet also with gall bladder flush
February 25th, 2009 at 9:40 am
Doc,
i was just diagnosed of having several gallstones last monday with the largest measuring to 1cm. Actually I was hospitalized saturday evening because i experienced pain in my abdomen circling through the lower back area and i had vomited. At first, the Dr. told me it was ACUTE PANCREATITIS, but after the ultrasound she said i have several gallstones and advised that i undergo surgery (removal of my gallbladder)immediately.
My question is, is the flushing ok if i also had acute pancreatitis? I am taking anibiotics right now, CIPROFLOXACIN and Nexium until Fiday, is it ok to try flushing or should i wait?
In my case, is the chance of flushing all the gallstones possible?
Please enlighten me… I’m confused as to having the operation or trying to flush them the natural way.. What will happen if i had my gallbladder taken out?
Thank you
FROM DOC EMIL: You can do gall bladder flush only after your course of antibiotics or when the infection is treated. Galls stones as large a 1 cm can still be flushed out but if you also have gallbladder inflammation, the gallbladder had to be operated or taken out. People who have had cholecystectomy (removal of gallbladder) will usually have problems with digesting fats but usually avoiding fatty foods can prevent fat intolerance. It is ok to remove the gallbladder if there is infection and gallstones.
February 26th, 2009 at 3:03 pm
THANK YOU DOC. I ONLY READ YOU ADVICE TO OTHER PEOPLE BUT ITS TO HELPFUL FOR ME
IAM A SEAMAN I HAVE A GALLSTONE THE SIZE IS 0.7cm. i was just diagnose of having gallstone MY PROBLEM NOW IS MY MEDICAL WAS FENDING DO TO UNFIT TO WORK BECUSE OF THIS.

TNX..AND GOD BLESS
FROM DOC EMIL: Yes, repeat ultrasound para malaman mo kung may gall stones pa. Isang araw lang ang pag inom ng Epsom salt at isang beses lang ito. Gallstones flush can be done 2x a year or every 6 months if you are a gallstone former
March 8th, 2009 at 9:43 am
hi doc am from gen santos city and my dad my diagnosed of having gallstones. I practically visited all the drug stroes here but no epsom is available, is is really safe to use dulcolax and what wud be teh afe dosage? please advice
FROM DOC EMIL: You can try gall bladder flush without Epsom salts. The use of dulcolax is different from gall bladder flush. Dulcolax can be taken 1 tab once a day. How long? –As necessary
March 10th, 2009 at 2:34 pm
Hi Doc. I find your website very useful. I had my abdomino-pelvic ultrasound at makati med just lst week of Feb. and here is a portion of the result:
The gallbladder is normal in size and configuration. Its wall is not thickened. There are several dense and bright echoes which appear to be attached to the gallbladder wall. Some of these showed suspicious acoustic shadows posteriorly. The intrahepatic ducts and CBD are undilated. The CBD measures approx. 4.0 mm. in diameter.
Conclusion:
Normal liver, biliary tree, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder, prostate gland, and abdominal aorta.
Gallbladder polyps and/or lithiases.
From the results stated, my gastro referred me to a surgeon. The latter told me to have operation and have both gallblader and gallstones removed. At my age of 27, i dont want to undergo operation. In this view, can i do the same procedure for gallstone flush as what others did based on the result of my ultrasound? Is it normal na parang lumalaki ang tiyan ko?
Thank you so much. This may be an answer to my prayers not to undergo operation.
from doc emil
The result of your ultrasound is still not conclusive of gall stones. You can try doing the gall bladder flush since the shadows, if ever they are stones, can still be small. Your tummy may seem larger than before due to accumulation of gas
March 17th, 2009 at 1:11 pm
dear doc,
i just had my gallbladder ultrasound early this morning. result says:
the gallbladder shows multiple intraluminal shadowing echogenicities. it’s wall is not thickened. common duct is not dilated measuring 0.30cm
impression: cholelithiases.
is it ok for me to try the gallbladder fush? thank you.
FROM DR. ALIGUI: I think the size of the gallstones would be amenable to gallbladder flush. Try it because there is no concomitant gallbladder inflammation in your case.
March 18th, 2009 at 9:29 am
Doc Emil thank you so much for the advice. what precautionary measures should i do regarding the result of my ultrasound? Can i still do physical activity such as jogging or go to gym? thanks
What can i do regarding my tummy which seems to be bloated? What should i avoid?
where can we reach you for more elaborative consultation?
thanks so much.
FROM DR. ALIGUI: Avoid fatty food and drink fruit juices or a combination of fruit and vegetable as juice. These will help reduce gall stone formation also.

hi! doc. im diagnnosed that i have a gallstone size 1.6cm just last week I thank God for the success of flushing without using the epson salt becouse we are not familiar with it. But thanks God by this time Ive seen a lot of stone flusing out an egg shape or oblong green color praise God .God welling after two weeks Im planning to have an ultrasound again to make sure if still have remain stone in my gallblader.
my question is this ok lang ba if I repeat the procedure again right after doing my first flusing? to make sure that all tha stone will flush. please reply asap thak you very much for the ideas youve share to us its a blessing
your new friend mary anne
From Dr. Emil: Yes, you can do it again but after 2-4 weeks. Usual maintenance is every 6 months or even once a year if you have assumed a low cholesterol diet.
April 3rd, 2009 at 10:44 am
Hi doc,
I was diagnosed with Cholecystlitiasis and fatty liver which i think is dependent to each other. Size range is 0.4-0.8cm. Can i use this gallstone cleansing both for my kidney and gallstone. Do we need to take any apple justice before 6pm?
Hope you can help me..
From Dr. Emil: You can take apple juice the whole day even at night. It is preferred to drink green apple juice if you can. For a kidney flush I would recommend blend juice of 1 cup, chopped, of each: parsely, celery and green apple; strain and take 1 glass daily for a week. Make sure you also drink at least 1 liter of water during the day. Your urine will be frothy and will be more than usual. As a rule we should assume a low salt and low fat diet as we age past 35 years and at least 2/3 of our diet should be vegetables.
April 5th, 2009 at 5:54 am
Hello Doc,
This my first time to open your website. and i have something to ask about my problem I have hepatitis B virus I try to drink carrot juice I make twice a day it almost one month , they says carrot juice is good for removing toxic in the liver. It is true or there have any natural herbal medicine that i used. please reply Dr. Thank you
Diego
From Dr. Emil: There is no cure for Hepatitis B, although some persons will get cure by themselves. I would recommend taking turmeric tea which will help reduce liver inflammation. Anti-oxidants, such as carrot juice or generally vegetable juices, will help. You can also try to take sinta or serpentina tea – put 2-3 leaves in a cup and pour boiling water, leave it for 5 minutes and drink. You can secure serpentina plant from the Bureau of Plant Industry in San Andres Manila

Dear doc;
My father was diagnosed lately with multiple stones the largest measuring 1.3cm..will the procedure of flushing might help my father..he’s already 58 y.o..pls i really need your help on this..im scared po kasi baka mas lalo magcomplicate..pls advise me
From Dr. Emil: The procedure have caused diarrhea in some people. Generally it is safe but if you are the person who is sensitive to fatty food or develops loose stools because of fatty foods, don’t try this because you might develop diarrhea
April 9th, 2009 at 3:57 am
Hi doc, my mother was diagnosed with gallstones measuring 7.2mm.She’s 52 y.o.,is it possible to flush it out with or without epsom salt?Pls reply doc.Thanx a lot!!
From Dr. Emil: The size is still less than 1 centimeter. You could have a successful flush!
April 14th, 2009 at 3:18 am
Just did my 4th bi-annual liver flush last Friday! Flushed out about 11 gallstones the size of monggo beans with 2 about the size of corn kernels.
I only ate 2 apples on Thursday and did not drink apple juice. The water with epsom salt still tastes bad. hehehe Maybe I will add cola the next time.
Regards to you Dr. Emil and everybody!
Jun T.
From Dr. Emil: Congratulations on your successful flush.
April 18th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
Hi Doc,thank you so much for replying my message.A day after I send u a message, she had green stools, but she didn’t notice stones on it. What do u think, was it successful? she wasn’t able to take epsom salt @ that time. Hope to hear from you doc…THANX A LOT!!!
From Dr. Emil:
The green stools indicate bile excretion and should help expell gallstones, if any. Doing this twice a year is a healthy practice -it detoxifies the colon and the body. Gallstone formation is a tendency that occur with increasing age so there people who do the flush as part of their preventive health habits.
April 21st, 2009 at 7:14 am
Hi Doc ! Been reading your website since march this year when i was diagnosed with a gallstone. And the U/S showed that i have 1.5 cm gallstone. After reading all the posts here i was afraid to try it since i learned that 1.5 cm gallstone might not be flushed out.
Anyway, yesterday i courageously did the flush out without the Epsom salt since there was none here in Roxas City. I fasted for the whole day. From 6 am to 5 pm i only drank apple juice (natural) and graham crackers. At 5:30 i started drinking mixture of 8 tablespoons of olive virgin oil and 4 tablespoons of calamansi juice since i was not able to find lemons here. I finished drinking the 500 ml olive oil and 250 ml calamansi juice for more than 2 hours.
At around 10 pm i went to sleep and woke up at 7 am. I then went to the CR and saw three green colored stones floating beside my stool. The sizes of these 3 stones were small the size of corn kernels. And by 8:30 am i went again to the CR and found almost 12 green stones floating same sizes as the first 3. I thought that those were all the stones inside my body. But deep inside i was wondering were was the one 1.5 cm stone that was detected on the U/S?
Before lunchtime i had again the urge to went to the CR, and found another almost 10 colored stones floating beside my stool. At this point of time i was really curious why so many when in fact there was only one on the U/S?
After lunchtime went to sleep and by 2 p.m was awaken by the rumbling of my stomach so i immediately went again to the CR for the 4th time. This time i had difficulty releasing the stools cause they were kind of hard. When i was through i was shocked to see that there were 4 green stones floating and one was the biggest measuring in my approximations to be close to 1.5 cm or 2 cm.
Whew ! My anus got inflamed releasing all those stones..:)..Now Doc here is my question?
Why is it that almost 30 stones were flushed out when i had only one stone measuring 1.5 cm detected on the U/S?
FROM DR. EMIL: The only explanation to your case is that ultrasound is a technology that rely on sounds or echoes and there is always a limit to technology, which means there are sound waves which do not reflect back (echo), depending on the composition of the stones. But your experience only shows that gallbladder flush works and it flushes out stones that were not even detected. Gallstone formation can be a recurrent problem, so I would recommended that you flush two times a year. As for you anus, you can use vitamin A ointment (Vandol) to help heal the inflammation.
Was the biggest one that measures almost 2 cm the same one that was detected on my U/S? And what are those other stones? Are they the ” soap stones ” being referred to on other sites?
Thank you for reading my detailed and quite long first time experience on flushing out. Hope you can enlighten not only me but as well as the thousands of followers of this wonderful site.
God bless !

To Jun,
It might be that these gallstones came directly from the liver and not from the gallbladder? (Is this possible Doc Emil?)
Just to be sure why not undergo another ultrasound scan just to be sure like what I did.
Jun T.
April 27th, 2009 at 7:34 am
Hi Doc, my whole family has tried the flushing just a week ago and again, I can say that it’s successful. We did this two years ago and we were amazed of the those greenish hard stools of different sizes. I will make sure that we will do this at least every other year only because it’s not easy to gulp that olive oil plus epsom salt. Anyway, my kids just have to follow me or else, no Boracay or Plantation Bay or Shangrila.
Anyway, I have bought 1 box full of 1kg epsom salts from the U.S. that I can share to anyone here_ who is looking for pure Epsom salt. Packs of 50 g is only P40.00. Much cheaper than what Mercury in Quiapo is selling.
Before, I also bought from Mercury, Quiapo during one of my conferences in Manila. Im based in Cebu, by the way.
April 30th, 2009 at 1:31 am
talaga bang stones yun kasi bakit malamabot sya?na expelled ko sya on the last day at kulay green na stone..
FROM DR EMIL: Galbladder stones can be soft in the beginning because we form them from fluids containing bile salts which are green because it is from bile. Later on it will harden as more salts get into the nidus (center or core). It is like a snowball rolling over, gettting bigger and bigger until it obstructs the gall bladder. So the experience is that we can prevent gallstones by regular gallbladder flush.
May 2nd, 2009 at 9:55 am
doc emil.,
pwede ko po ba ulitin yun procedure kasi di pa rin nawawala yun pain sa right side, actually na flush ko nung last day yun mga green soft stones..but after 3 days nung napakain ako ng beef mami medyo bigla sya sumakit, gusto ko sana ulitin ksi dinaman ako nakakaranas ng diareah sa procedure.ayos lang po ba? isang day lang ako makaranas ng diarrhea.\
FROM DR EMIL: Pwedeng ulitin after 1 month. Regular flush is every 6 months. Yung pain mo ay marahil sa fat o oil from mami and nag- induce ng gallbladder contraction. Malamang may stones pa kaya sumakit.
May 12th, 2009 at 12:57 am
Good morning Doc!
Upon reading the messages here, I am really excited and hopeful na magagamot na ang kidney stones ko….I have claimed to the Lord that I will be healed within the week.
To all the readers, please pray for me na makayanan ito. I also pray for your eventual successes and recovery.
GOD BLESS!
May 12th, 2009 at 2:02 am
To Rhon:
Just a reminder. This procedure is for flushing gallstones not kidney stones!
May 21st, 2009 at 1:28 pm
dr emil,
ask ko din po kung pwede din po ba makalinis ito ng colon?
From Dr. Aligui: Yes, gall bladder flush ay pwede ring colon flush.
May 30th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
hi doc, i turned 54 this month of may’09 and included in my annual check up was the whole abdomen ultrasound. the result was-”gallbladder is normal in size & configuration,GB wall is not thickened, a 15mm echogenic focus w/posterior sonic shadowing is seen within the GB lumen. no pericholecystic fluid is noted”.with these result can i try ur “flushing procedure”. dont have money for the operation.
From Dr. Emil: Yes you can try the gallbladder flush because the size of echogenic focus is still small.
June 4th, 2009 at 11:10 am
My gallstones is 2.14 cm the biggest. is there any other herbal plants or fruits that can dissolve gallstones before going on a flush
From Dr. Aligui:
The gallstone of 2.14 is already large and you might not be successful. I would recommend surgery .
June 8th, 2009 at 5:36 am
Hi Doc,
I tried flushing last April and repeat my ultrasound last weekend. I was shock that that my gallstone is even bigger now with a size of 0.8-1.2.cm previously it was 0.4-0.8cm. Though i’ve seen some yellowish object on my stool during my flushing last april, i think it was not successfull. Can i repeat my gallstone cleansing again this june or july. What do you have may have cause my gallstone cleansing failure? Should i buy green apple juice or red apple juice?
thanks,
From Dr. Aligui:
There are several causes of gallstones and when you already have those gallstones, it could grow as long as the risk factors are there. Some of these factors include high cholesterol, intake of proteins, the amount of obstruction in the gallbladder, etc. These so called risk factors are forces that must be overcome not by flush but by diet and exercise. The flush is only a way to hasten the flow of bile and gallbladder contraction so that you can expel those stones. Try to repeat the flush but also pay attention on how you eat, especially fatty foods.

doc, i have an hyperacidity, can i ask some advice wat medical alternatives to lessen acid secretion?thanks
From dr. Aligui: Eat banana. It can reduce hyperacidity
June 22nd, 2009 at 10:14 am
Hi Doc,
I am a bit confused with all the above comments that I have read in this site. Some are saying that they are flushing so many stones while saying that in their ultrasound some of them have 2 or 3 stones in their gb only. Where does this stone came from, how come it was detected with few gallstones and flushed more stones? Please enlighten me. Thanks.
From Dr Emil: Not all stones are seen by ultrasound, especially if they are small. So if you flush and there are small stones which were not identified by ultrasound, they will come out.

hi,
we wanted to try this procedures, we look out for the EPsom salts magnesium sulphate, in watsons and guardian, when we found it, it was written in the package that it use for feritlizer, and as a softener, we ask to the pharmatician if we can take it orally, 2 of them says is not meant to take orally it use for external only. we wanted to know what kind of epsom salt that u bought?
by the way, we bought it over here in singapore.
hope to get a soonest reply from you. thank you.
ange
June 29th, 2009 at 5:47 am
hi,
its me again, the epsom salts that we found is FOOD GRADE and the same type in all pharmacy here. but the uses of it is for external only, it was in a green box.
it was written that is use for softener and fertilizer.
what kind of epsom salts we need to look out that can take it orally and know where to get it here in singapore?
hope to get a reply from you doc.
thanks again.
From Dr. Aligui: Epsom salt for oral intake can be bought from stores selling dietary supplements. I would say that it has to have a USP label. If you can’t find it, do your gallbladder flush without using epsom salts. It will work also without the epsom salt. Just remember to just eat fruits and vegetables for about 3 days. Drinking olive oil on the 3rd day will induce gallbladder contraction because you have not eaten any fatty food before that.
June 30th, 2009 at 5:00 am
Hi Doc,
follow-up question lang ‘to dun sa “intake of protein” based on my column dated June 18. Am i taking too much protein or lack of protein intake? I do also have a fatty liver which maybe related to my gallestone.
Thanks again – Francis
June 30th, 2009 at 5:08 am
Hi Doc,
Any medicine or medication for fatty liver?
From Dr. Aligui: Diet with less fat (very minimal intake of animal or vegetable fat) , turmeric tea or luyang dilaw tea will help reduce fatty liver.
July 1st, 2009 at 6:09 am
hi doc
may gall stones po ako 1cm per each 3pcs po. i need your advise
kung may iba pang way para mawala yung stones maliban sa surgery.
at kung may pagasa pa po bang matunaw sa apple
thanks
From Dr. Aligui: you have to try gallbladder flush, your stones may come out.
July 6th, 2009 at 9:26 am
Hi Doc,
Good day…
Please help me to decide what is better for me. After finding out that i have 3 gall stones measuring 6mm,5mm,and 1.0cm i am a bit confused of having my surgery. So i tried to look for other natural ways to cleanse my gall bladder. Doc, is the gall bladder flush still applicable for me, knowing the sizes of the stones? Kya pb i maiflush? Pero gs2 ko din ipost d2 ung result ng u/s ko so you would really know my condition.
The Gallbladder measures 4.7x 3.2 cm with 3 stone echoes, measures 6mm, 5mm, and 1.0cm respectively. The wall is not thickened. The common duct and portal vein are not dilated.
Consider cholesystolithiasis
with this result of my u/s can i still try the gallbladder flush?
From Dr. Aligui: Yes, it may be possible to flush out your stones.
July 8th, 2009 at 10:06 am
Hi Doc,
Just this morning I have my ultrasound and sadly the sonographer say that I have so many gallstones. And I think it has already obstructed the bile duct as previously suggested by the explaination of the pain I am experiencing now. also my eyes becomes yellow. I also have this bloated feeling. And the frequency of the
pain is becoming shorter. Can I still make use of the suggested natural way of flushing the gallstone. I really don’t want to have surgery. I have started the Apple Juice Flushing regiment but with the pain I am having I hope I can make it to the seven day without the surgery. Please advise.
From Dr. Aligui: You cannot use gallbladder bladder flush because it can further obstruct. Its too risky for you to use gallbladder flush because your gallbladder is fully obstructed -this is what your yellowish color of eyes means.

From Dr. Aligui: Gallbladder flush is still the preferred method of flushing out gallstones.

Hi Doc,
Good day…
Please help me to decide what is better for me.
From Dr. Aligui: It is worth trying gallbladder flush since your stones are not so large. There is no guarantee that anyone who does gallbladder flush will expel the stones but majority will, especially if they are still small.

Good day Doc,
It’s really nice to follow what you’ve published on the net. Although its hard for me to avail or to have the Epsom salt here in Laoag City, i still managed to flushed-out those unwanted green colored “pea-shaped” stones…Whewww! what a big surprise !! Thanks a lot Doc…. more power & GOD bless…..
From Dr. Aligui: The use of Epsom salt is really optional, you can flush without it.

doc, im not sure but i think i have gallstones. i get this tight feeling at my pelvic area. right above the pelvis. everytime i try to put pressure on it i feel some sort of discomfort. could it be cos of gallstones? and oh btw does the flush thing have any sideeffects or will it just flush it out no questions.
From Dr. Aligui: Tight feeling in the pelvic area does not usually indicate a problem in the gall bladder, it is usually upper abdomen in the area of the liver or on the right side. Flushing can sometimes cause profuse diarrhea especially for those who are intolerant to high fat intake.

Hi doc! i was diagnosed with gallstone measuring 0.7cm. i did the flushing method but the thing is, i dont think if i flushed out the stone cause i didn’t saw any.. irregular din kc akong dumumi eh.. Will it stil flush out from my body kpag dumumi ulit ako or i nid to repeat the procedure? Pls advice me…
Thanks a lot, doc!
From Dr. Aligui: It is hard to say that flushing will be successful for everyone. You just have to try it if your stones are less than 0.5 cm. Some larger stones as long as there is no gall bladder obstruction which is usually manifested as right upper quadrant pain and jaundice. Only by inspecting your stools will you be able to know if the stones pass out after the flush. You may repeat this every 6 months. It is not necessary to have a regular bowel movement since you will see the expelled stones, if successful, with your stools if you move your bowels immediately or after a day from flushing.
August 4th, 2009 at 7:36 am
dear doc., I have subcribed to and got a monthly supply of gallcleanse which was shipped from the u.s. of a, by my sister, which is better your aple cum olive oil, lemon juic and epsom slt or this?
From Dr. Aligui: I have no information if the contents of gallcleanse can really dissolve gall stones. The gall bladder flush procedure is to expel stones not dissolved them.
August 4th, 2009 at 7:41 am
i have started the gall cleanse theraphy just this morning, augusut 4,2009, seems the pain has subsided, i will starte flusing after one week. if this theraphy wont work i hope i can shift to your remedy of apples, cum olive oil/lemon juice with epsom salt…..please reply immediately…..

Hi Doc..

Hi Doc i am currently 24 weeks pregnant and have not read anywhere on here that any woman was pregnant suffering from this! I had and u/s done this past monday to confirm the gallstones bc i was rushed to the ER with severe upper abdominal pain! And sure enough i have gall stones! So would it be safe while im pregnant to flush? I would really like to get rid of the pain and not suffer any more through the rest of my pregnancy!
Thanks
Nickie
From Dr. Aligui: No you cannot just do gall stone flush because some people develop diarrhea and it could affect your nutrition and consequently your baby. Please consult your obstetrician if you can. The flush might also work because of the enlarge uterus which pushes the abdominal organs upwards.

Hi doc,
My 16 year old son has been diagnosed with cholecystolithiases. He has been having several gall badder attacks. Please find results of his upper abdominal ultrasound 3 weeks ago.
Liver is normal in size and contour with slightly increased parenchymal echogenicity. No focal lesion is noted. Intrahepatic ducts not dilated and common bile duct measures 0.6 cm.
The gallbladder is not distended and wall is not thickened. Multiple mobile intraluminal echoes with posterior acoustic shadowing are noted measuring 0.4 to 0.5 cm individually and about 5.1 cm collectively.
Based on the results, is it safe for him to undergo the gallbladder flush? Most especially that he is only 16? I am worried a stone may get stuck in the duct during the process. Please enlighten me.
Thanks.
FROM DR. ALIGUI: Basically, the stones are not causing any abnormality in the configuration of the bile ducts and he may be helped by natural gall bladder flush. This is because the gallstones are individually less than 1 cm and there is high probability of expulsion. In any medical case, one cannot guarantee that there will be no failures or complications, we can only say a high degree of success but not 100%. I am a conservative person, as I would recommend for you to try it on him, informed decision making is my approach. Your son most probably will expel the stones, meaning also that he will not obstruct, but expel the stones.

HI TO ALL..
MY U/S REVEALED THAT I HAVE A GALLSTONE 1.73 CM . OTHERS 0.9 CM BIG.
MY DOC’S ADVICE IS FOR ME TO UNDERGO AN OPERATION…BUT
I WILL TRY THIS FLUSH FIRST…
PRAY FOR ME…
GOD BLESS US ALL…
FROM DR ALIGUI: I will pray for you. Hope you flush it all out. They may not come out all at the same time.
September 9th, 2009 at 7:20 am
Hi Doc, just came from my ultrasound of the gallbladder.
The results as follow:
The GB is physiologically distended.Walls are smooth and not thickened. Multiple, medium to high level echoes are noted intra-iluminally, which appear to be attached/ adherent to the inner wall. These cholesterol polyps measure no more than 5mm each, a few of which appear to be slightly calcified.
Cholesterol polyps within the physiologically distended GB, some of which show faint calcifications; Cannot rule out presence of encrusted stones.
BTW, I underwent angioplasty in 2006. Is gall bladder cleansing applicable for me?
September 17th, 2009 at 7:54 am
thanks, dor emil,
i thought you are not real…
but when i saw you on tv…
i now believe everything you said here…
i’m still on radish juice treatment to decrease the size of the stones..
after one month, i will try the flush…
hoping that everything will be all right…
thanks again doc…
more power to you…
From Dr. Aligui: Thank you. Stay Healthy!
September 17th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
i had a cleansing following exactly the same procedure only that it was a 20 hours fasting (with only apple and apple juice to eat until 2 pm then the epson on the evening, olive oil at 10)..that was on sept 5 but on sept eleven i experienced joint pains and inflamation in my right feet (which i suspect to be arthritis) that i had never had before the cleansing protocol.
Could it possibly a result of the cleansing i had? It is noted in my copy that even the healthy bacteria needed for digestion is flushed out from the body so they are needed to be replaced by drinking live yougurt or yakult.
Thank you very much.
From Dr. Aligui: It is unusual to get a bout of arthritis with cleansing because it flushes out the gastrointestinal materials especially fat. It is possible to flush out even good bacteria but you can regain them again. You could have had some dehydration that triggered the arthritis. It is best not to do it again, it might not really work for you.
September 26th, 2009 at 7:57 am
good day doc!
I had an u/s last friday (09/25/09) and the result showed that I have 3 gallstones, size ranges from 3mm to 6mm and the doctor advised me to undergo surgery.I’m scared to have the operation so i tried to find means to get rid of these stones in a natural way.I am very thankful to have found your site, and i’m very willing to try the flushing, but i have questions that need to be answered, the doctor prescribed an oral medication (Ursodeoxycholic Acid)for 15days,can I do the flushing while still taking the medication?W/ the sizes of the stones mentioned,is it possible to flush them out?’hope u can answer my questions.
Thank you and more power!
FROM DR ALIGUI:
Uusodeoxycholic Acid a drug that prevents cholesterol absorption by the liver. The assumption is that cholesterol is a very common cause of gallstone nidus (a starting material). There is no known problem for this if you want to flush. I think you can flush them out since the stones are still small.
September 28th, 2009 at 5:44 am
dear doc, ask ko lng po ano mabisang gamot sa sipon na may kasamang ubo at lagnat (may ksamang pagbabahing at pagluha)sa mga bata edad 1yr to 5yrs old? maraming salamat po……….
FROM DR ALIGUI:
Generally, vitamin C, and plenty of oral fluid intake. Pero and ubo na may kasamang lagnat ay kinakailangan ng examinacion ng doctor baka umpisa na yan ng pneumonia. Delikado pag bata mas kinakailangan ng physical exam ng doctor.

Dear Doctor, I had abdominal pain since last 2 consecutive days after eating fried food & Ultra Sound report is ” Gall blader shows multiple ecogenic structures within, with note of wall thickness.CBD is not dilated at the time of study.
Impression : USS FATTY LIVER, CONSIDER CHOLECYSTOLITHIASES
Since last five days am completely control in diet (Only fruits, vegtables, brown rice) & so far no pain last 5 days, Dr recommended for surgery after seing the U/S report. Please let me know shall go for gallstone flushing procedure what you mentioned in your earlier eamil, as am worried i dont know the size of gallstone & even report also not mentioned in U/S report, is there any chance of stone struck in CBD as i dont know the size ? How i can know the size ? Your valuable advice is required ?

Hi doc,
thank you!!! you do reply!!! have been reading most of the above comments…
am female, age 52, have had gall bladder surgery 9 years ago.
my concerns are: 1 my cholesterol is elevated (237) – since 2004, but i do not want to drink lipitor for maintenance for fear of what it can do to my liver and kidneys;
2 – i am overweight – obese 1 (145 lbs, medium frame height is 5′4″)
3 – last year my blood tests showed elevated ggtp (68). my research taught me that when these liver enzymes show high levels in the blood, the liver is leaking them because the liver is overworked and needs cleansing.
i have wanted to do a liver flush since 2008 when i learned of it (but had trouble sourcing the epsom salts which i now have) again, i have not done so cos it says i should do a kidney flush and parasite flush before the liver flush.
4 – If i do the liver flush without these – is that alright? i would like to be guided in my parasite cleanse and kidney cleanse – do you have a clinic where i can visit you?
5 – since last year i had been experiencing some pain in my upper back – could this be a symptom of my ailing liver?
You are God-sent, i hope you will have time to reply to my queries.
More power to you,
Sweet N

Hi any updates on where to buy epsom salt? How much is it and how many in qty?
October 12th, 2009 at 7:46 am
@ Jo,
EPSOM SALT CAN BE BOUGHT AT MERCURY DRUG QUIAPO.
IT IS ONLY 30 PESOS PER 1 KILO. VERY CHEAP.
October 14th, 2009 at 4:17 am
To all those who cannot get Epsom salt in their country. It is available in plenty in my country Sri Lanka. I could mail it to those who cannot get it in their country. My mail address is acmwong12@gmail.com

Good day po…

Hi Doc,
I’m 50 years old, male and I’ve never had an experience/history of a gallstone pain attack until last week. I and a friend had taken a moderate, late afternoon meal of red meat at a established restaurant. That was the last meal I had taken for that day. In the evening I fell asleep at around 7:30 pm only to be suddenly awakened at around 11 pm with this unbearable, sharp pain coming from my stomach area (pelvic region) which slowly moved upward to my abdominal area (epigastric region) where it persisted. I was cringing in pain, crying and trying to find a position in bed that would relieve it. The pain came as a total surprise and I took a teaspoon of malox because I thought it was just gas pain but it didn’t help. I used a hot water bottle wrapped in towel and that somewhat alleviated the pain which I could tolerate. Strange because the pain totally disappeared at around 6am in the morning and I was finally able to sleep but unfortunately I was absent for work that day.
The next day I went to the clinic to see the family doctor and after I was checked I was prescribed Domperidone to be taken 3x a day 30 minutes before meals for a week and Omeprazole to be taken 1 capsule a day at bedtime for two weeks. I was also asked to undergo USG examination to check for the possibility of gallstones.
The results of my USG was:
“The liver is within normal in size extending up to the costal margin showing homogenous echopattern. No focal lesions noted. The intahepatic ducts are not dilated. The portal venous system is normal.
The gallbladder measures 6.5 x 3.5 cm. There are movable, high level echoes without posterior acoustic shadowing in the gallbladder lumen. Its wall is not thickened. The common bile duct is not dilated measuring 0.451 cm.
The pancreas and spleen are normal in size showing homogenous echopattern. Negative for space occupying mass.
IMPRESSION:
CHOLECYSTOLITHIASIS WITHOUT CHOLECYSTITIS
NORMAL ULTRASOUND OF THE LIVER, PANCREAS AND SPLEEN
NEGATIVE FOR ASCITES
SUGGEST CLINICAL CORRELATION”
I asked the doctor many questions about why the sudden attack and I was told that oftentimes stones are silent and it could be that I had them and could just be triggered by some event. I was told that after an initial attack usually later attacks would recur often. I was advised to complete the medication prescribed to me and return for follow up checkup. If I am going to experience pains even after the treatment, I would then be referred to a gastroenterologist and there is possibility I could undergo another USG for verification and possibly surgery. I was informed that there are several different surgical methods available and I will be advised and consulted by the attending physician as to which direction to take.
I was just wondering if cleansing will work for me with the report in my USG findings? I am not afraid to undergo surgery and all I want is to get rid of this discomfort once and for all but I want a safe method whatever …. and if it has to be surgery, I would prefer one that leaves the most minimal scarring/incisions if ever and where recovery would be shortest. I am concerned about this because I am the sole breadwinner in my family.
Thanks and I hope to hear a response/comment on this soon.
From Dr. Aligui: Gallbladder flush can help but if you prefer to undergo surgery as per doctor’s advice, then you must follow your doctor
October 28th, 2009 at 12:04 am
Oh by the way, I forgot to mention that I had an oral and anal colonoscopy examination around 4 years ago and I came out with very positive results with no major findings except for one where they found I had slight acid reflux. I was given medication and treatment for that and ever since I no longer experienced the conditions relating to this findings. I don’t know if there is some relation of that with my present findings or gallstone formation.
Any ideas?
October 30th, 2009 at 10:40 am
Good day,
doc, i have a 3.2cm and my doctor said i have to undergo operation.is there any other way for me to remove the gallstones? can i use your flushing??
tnx
From Dr. Aligui: The gallstone is already large so please consult a gastroenterologist. I would not recommend flushing because of the risk of obstruction.
October 30th, 2009 at 8:09 pm
Hi,
I’m 54, I had an ultrasound and no gallstones are present, I had my cholestrol checked and it was 128, HDL 39 LDL 71. Then I had a Hida Scan and my gallbladder has only 7% contractility. Thickend walls and considered a “sluggish gallbladder”. Would you recommend a flush or have it removed?
thanks
From Dr. Aligui: a regular fruit diet and low fat diet can help but you must talk to a gastroenterologist to make an adequate decision on what you must do. You may be suffering also from cholescystitis.
November 5th, 2009 at 2:52 am
@ jei,
HTH.
@ therese,
if you dont want to have an operation, try drinking radish juice to decrease the size of your stone. then go for the flush.
DR. EMIL ALIGUI,
DOC, I’M STILL TAKING RADISH JUICE. 100ML 2X A DAY.
MAY BAD EFFECT BA SA KATAWAN KO ITO??
MORE POWER PO AND GOD BLESS ALWAYS.
From Dr. Aligui: Generally none but I would not recommend it at 100ml 2x a day but rather 2x a week. Most of us would not require this amount on a regular basis if we just want to have a usual detox lifestyle since we would only have to detox at the most frequent, once a week. So I would say that you even have to reduce it to 100ml once a week.

Hi Lea!
Please be informed that Dr Aligui have been trying hard to answer your questions regularly. We hope that you understand that the author have else to do. We appreciate your patience over this matter and we don’t force you to post questions if you can’t wait. Such comment above is indeed discouraging, hoping you avoid such comment here.

hello po! please make it clear to me about the 1/2 cup of olive oil and 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice. di po ba pwedeng kongting lemon juice lang ilagay ko sa 1/2 cup of olive oil? sorry po kc naisuka ko lang lahat. nanghinayang po ako. at kelan ko po bang pwedeng ulitin. please reply asap po. thanks and God Bless!!!
from Dr. Aligui: Medyo delicado na ang size ng gallstones kasi malaki at dapat ma-evaluate yan ng surgeon, you may not be able to expel them with the gallbladder flush. To answer your questions about VCO and unpleasant taste, VCO can be used to replace olive oil and coca cola can be used after taking the oil in order not to vomit or to mask the taste of oil. Lemon or kalamansi juice is used to stimulate gall bladder contraction also just like Epsom salts. Mas nakakasuka ang Epsom salt.
November 9th, 2009 at 8:28 am
doc can i use coconut virgin oil? if not, can u tell me the exact name of the olive oil. thanks po
November 9th, 2009 at 9:37 am
good day doc,
this is the result of my gallbladder ultra sound:
the gallbladder is contracted. at least 3 highly echogenic intraluminal structures with posterior acoustic shadowing are noted measuring 4.o9mm.,6.9mm and 7.6mm. the common duct is not dilated with masimum diameter of 0.4.cm
will your 20 hr fasting treatment still work for me or is it safe for me?
Im planning to start for the 2nd time tomorrow or as soon as you could answer me ASAP.
and i would like to know if how many times will i do this treatment.
Thank you for your time Doc.

good midnight po doc,
Just like these bloggers, Since monday nov.9 i felt the same prolong but not severe pain somewhere below my right ribs. I consulted in makati medcentre and doctor concluded that i had a gallstone, and she recommended me to take dolcet as pain reliever only because i cannot afford surgery. Now i want to apply your tested step on flushing/cleansing a gall. I will start to eat green apples tomorrow, can i eat other fruits too and can i continue to intake my muscadine grapeseed extract with goji berry and sea buck thorn berry extract? thank you very much and i will update my coming seeks…
November 16th, 2009 at 7:51 am
sir james,
you didn’t mention the size of your stone.
anyway, good luck to you.
is it possible to post here the result of your U/S before and after the flush?
Take care and God bless.
November 18th, 2009 at 8:31 am
May I ask, kung okay po ba yang process na yan sa friend ko na nag steroids? She’s taking Prednisone,HCQS, Volatarine forte.
Thanks po Doc.
From Dr. Aligui: I cannot say because it can only help improve lipid metabolism or fat digestion. The detox side of gallbladder flush is on the colon. I helps clean the gallbladder and colon.
November 18th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:04 pm
From Dr. Aligui: Theoretically, small particles can get into the appendix but say a piece of gallstone? This has not been reported. You may be suffering from a kidney problem. Please consult an internist because you need a medical work-up. I find no relationship with eating apples and your flank pain. Mas makakabuti kung ma-work up ka.
November 26th, 2009 at 5:10 pm
Dear doc,
TANONG KO PO; AFTER FLUSHING OUT MY GREEN GALLSTONES, DO I NEED TO CLEANSE TOO MY LIVER? OR ARE THEY CLEANED ALREADY AFTER I FLUSHED MY GALLSTONES? IF NOT PO WHAT PROCEDURE FOR ME TO CLEAN MY LIVER….. THANKS PO, HEALTH CONSCIOUS LAMANG PO.
From DR. Aligui: The gall bladder flush is also a way to cleanse the liver. If you want to have liver protection, which is the most appropriate way to help the liver stay healthy then stay away from too much medications which are not advised by your doctor. Most medications are inactivated via the liver. A good maintenance for liver health is turmeric or “luyang dilaw”, taken as tea or the same way as ginger brew is prepared, only you use turmeric instead of the regular ginger.
November 26th, 2009 at 6:09 pm
I have CHOLECYSTOLITHIASIS gallstone of 103mm. i have diagnose it before one and half years. is it safe i do this Gallbladder flush.and also if gallbladder is inflammed inside because the stone. please give an advice.
From Dr. Aligui: The stone is still small and ordinarily, you can try gallbladder flush. However, if you were diagnosed to have cholecystitis or cholangitis too, I advise you not to do the flush. You have to consult a gastroenterologist for appropriate management if you have gall bladder infection.

I am a filipino now in Le Meridien Port Vila, Vanuatu.I had
the cleansing last night and it was a success. In the morning and on the
third time to toilet I pass out more than 20 green stones that looks line
raisin,5 stones and 7 stones on the 4th and 5th respectively.Although
green apples are so expensive I did’nt mind for my own good.
Maraming salamat po Dr. Emil and more power to you

Dear doc. emil,
my husband is experiencing so much pain in his abdomen.Isubjected him to an ultrasound. Fortunately liver, spleen, pancreas , kidney and urinary bladder were all normal, but the gallbladder is moderately distended measuring 8.1 cmx3.3cmx3.7cm.There are intraluminal echogenic foci w/d no posterior acoustic shadowing seen. its wall not thickened. the impression was to consider bile sludge, cannot rule out cholycystolithiases and suggest clinical correlation and follow up. Am planning to undertake flushing but same problem no epson salt here in bicol. could we do the flushing without it and can u consider the findings that he has a gall stone formed. our doctor says that its only a malapot na fluid and recommended dringking more water. Pls. help us rule out this and be guided what to do. we believe in you next to God. tanx so much and God bless po. Need ur reply po asap.
From Dr. Aligui: You can try gallbladder flush, even if the presence of stone is questionable. Doing a flush is a detox procedure. If it is just a bile sludge, then that should come out with a flush and can potentially relieve the abdominal pain.

Hi Doc ,
Good Day,
I’m glad I’ve found this site about the Gallbladder topic. Unfortunately I’m one of those person who suffering the gallbladder problems. I was diagnosed that I’ve a gallstones last June 2008 and my doctor advise me to undergo laparoscopic surgery but I declined it because I’m really afraid and I’m not having an GB attack everyday. I’ve just experienced an attack when I ate a heavy meal on dinner. I just want to consult my latest ultrasound result.
——————————
SONOGRAPHY OF THE HEPATOBILIARY TREE.
Multiple transverse and longitudinal sonogram of the hepatobiliary were obtained.
Liver is normal in size with homogenous echopattern. No focal mass is seen
Intrahepatic and extrahepatic ducts are not dilated.
Common bile ducts measures 0.4 cm
Gallbladder is contracted with multiple posterior shadowing High Intesity echo intraminally. With sizes varying of 0.5 cm to 1.1 cm. Its wall is not thickened.
IMPRESSION:
CONTRACTED GALLBLADDER WITH MULTIPLE CHOLELITHIASES.
NON DILATED DUCTS
UNREMARKABLE LIVER
———————————
NOTES:
I’ve already tried the Methods of Removing the Gallstones Naturally by Dr Lai Chie Nan and I think its effective for me and I’m planning to take it again this coming vacation. Also I’ve taken GALLCLEANSE DISSOLVE AND FLUSH http://www.gallstonesite.com/medicines that I’ve ordered from the US for maintenance but still according to my latest ultrasound result I still have gallstones.
I’ve already changed my diet and I stop eating fatty and oily foods. I only eat fish, fruits and vegetables. It almost a year now and I’m not experiencing any Gallbladder pain and as of this moment I’m not feeling any abdominal pain . I regularly monitor my Gallbladder through ultrasound test.
My question is
1)Is it still safe to take the Methods of Removing the Gallstones Naturally by Dr Lai Chiu Nan even though my gallbladder is contracted?
2)Also I bought Herbal Medicines from Lunas CARICA. I’ve bought a Virgin Coconut oil and Sambong Capsules that according to them. It will help to eliminate my gallstones and take care of my gallbladder. Is this True?
3)Do you know effective medicines that can totally eliminate my gallstones?
4)Aside from Ultrasound Test, I’ve read about the HIDA Scan that according to some blogs that the HIDA Scan will get a detailed result about my gallbladder conditions. Is this true? May I kindly get your opinion/advice on this?
5)Can you kindly explain to me about my latest Ultrasound result?
Kindly advise
Many Thanks
Rowell

Dear Dr. Emil,
Can I flush 2 pieces of 7mm gladstone? I am having an attack once a week and I am completely taking lot of fiber (oatmeal, vegetable & fruits). Can I start the cleansing process?
Regards,
Mark09
From Dr. Aligui: It is possible to flush them but be careful because even if the size is 7mm, the combined size is 14mm which is a borderline size. Fiber can help you so keep eating high fiber food to reduce cholesterol. Persistently high cholesterol is a common cause of gallstone formation.
January 5th, 2010 at 2:35 pm
upto what size of stones this treatment is recommended?
is this treatment okay for stones of size 15-20mm diameter?
From Dr. Aligui: Less than 10mm is relatively safe. There is no assurance that it will not obstruct. Having pain is an indication that flush should be done with careful monitoring.

Dear Doc,
I have a five yr old daughter who suddenly got high fever last Dec. 30 to Jan 1. It’s so high (39)but eventually the following day Jan 2 she becomes normal but can’t eat.In Jan 3 some rashes come out on her face so I thought she had Dengue but when I brought her to the doctor; the doctor tols me it’s just a rashes fever or like an allergy so gave me Alnix for medication. So after that check up I brought her to the the lab for CBC and platelet count for sure. And its not really Dengue but am just curious about the other result which seems to be abnormal.See Below result:
Hemoglobin 123 g/l Hematocrit .37 WBC 8.75 x 10 Segmenters.28 Lymphocytes .68 Eosinophiles .04 Platelet count 324 x10 RBC 4.31x 10.
Segmenters, Lymphocytes and eosinophiles ; Are they related to each other? I mean whats the complication of the above details?
Worried po talaga ako because after that up to now wala p rin sya gana kumain. Nmamayat na sya. She dont eat vegtables pork fruits only fried chicken adobo burger steak. Give me some advise please.
And another one pa po regarding sa mother ko nadiagnose may stone daw sya sa liver mga 4cm na sya hindi n b pwede maflush yun ? Woried kasi ako kung magundergo sya ng operation she is already 59 yrs. old. Is it safe for her to go operation? What are the common side defects after the operation? If she’s not going to undergo surgery will it be better or not? Please give advise she has a schedule operation on Saturday Jan 16. We are all afraid for this can you enlighten us for the good and bad effect of this.
From Doc Emil: Sorry kung na-delay yung sagot sa mother mo but better to have the surgery. The doctor should have given a medical clearance if she is fit for surgery. For your child, the CBC looks like a viral infection and she will probably be ok.

Dr. Emil,
I was receiving and acupuncture treatment for digestion and my gall bladder began pulsating so sharply that I could barely breathe. This lasted about 10 minutes…and then subsided.
I followed up with an ultrasound to find out that I do have multiple mobile gallstones, with the largest being 1.3 cm in diameter, and the referring Dr. scheduled me for a surgery consult.
However, before I have my consult appointment, I’d like to try a flush.
I have a couple of questions regarding this flush:
-Is it possible to flush a 1.3 cm gallstone?
-What sort of complications could I encounter, and would this cause cholecystitis?
From Doc Emil: Gallstones less than 0.8 cm may be ok but I am not sure about the bigger ones. Some people have succeeded with stones larger than 1 cm but be careful; I would go for a medical treatment for large stones.

My father felt pain in the abdominal part, then na-admit siya sa Hospital. nag-undergo siya ng Several LAb. Test, and also Colonoscopy as per the Doctors advised,
pero wala naman po silang nakita doon, after that, nag-ultrasound naman. Sana nga Ultrasound muna before the Colonoscopy, kasi buti pa sa Ultrasound nakita yung diperensiya.
Heto po yung Impression;
-mild fatty changes liver
-cholecystolithiases
-mildly enlarged prostate gland with minimal concretions
-grossly normal biliary ducts.
-pancreas abdominal aorta
-splees kidney and urinary bladder
-configuration and parenchymal echopattern with distinct cortico meduallary differentiation.
-there is no grossly evident focal mass
-lithiasis or hydronephrosis
-the urinary bladder is partially filled with urine
-there is no intravesical echo
-there is no ascities
-the prostate gland is mildly enlarged measuring (3.9 x 4.2 x 3.6cm) with an estimated weight of 31 grams, minimal concretions are seen within
-the liver is unenlarged with diffused mild incease in parenchymal enhogenicity
-there is no grossly evident focal mass
-the intra and extrahepatic ducts are not dilated
-the common bile duct is normal in caliber measuring 3.4mm
-the gallbladder is undistended with non-thickened walls
-within its lumen are few echogenic foci exhibiting posterior sonic shadows and postural shifts.
-the biggest measures is 5.6mm
-sonographic’s sign is negative
-the pancreas, abdominal aorta spleen are unremarkable .
-right kidney = 9.6 x 4.3 x 4.3cm
-left kidney = 9.1 x 3.8 x 4.2cm (both kidney are normal size)
Samalat DOK!
Maricel / 28 / Laguna
From Doc Emil: Di tayo cigurado kung kaya na ilabas and stones kasi more than 4cm but you can try because it is not too large. I say kung may frequent pain sa abdomen, wag kang mag attempt to flush because it might obstruct. Surgery would be the only option you have for your father.
January 26th, 2010 at 3:51 am
Dear Doc Emil,
Good Day to you!
Andito na naman po ako… sana po mapagtuunan nyo ng pansin ang aking tanong…
Kailangan ko lang po talaga ng kasagutan para sa aking ama.
Marami pong salamat.

I just finished the gallbladder flush this morning. I’m in the U.S. and my wife is in the Philippines. We just found out she has gallstones so I wanted to try a flush with ingredients she could get there. It worked great for me. Two large stones and many small ones. The olive oil drink is terrible at 1st because it is difficult to mix it with lemon juice. But after you get through that first layor of olive oil, it goes down fairly easily. Thanks Dr. Aligui.

hi good day to all of you ive traid this method a week after my doc found out that i do have a slightly contracted gallbladder with probable stone formation in my ultrasound result.my doctor referred me to a sergical operation and told him ill think about it first.so after i arrived at home i search the internet looking for a alternative way to remove my gallbladder which is i dont want to go for a sergical operation after hours of searching i found this method..so i try this method for a week eat apple till the day of cleansing, the following morning i was really surprise may be 30-40 stone came out about 4 times i have purge.. i was over whelmed because of the out come if the method.
so in the following week i have my 2nd ultrasound to check if i do still have a stone in my gallbladder the findings in my ultrasound was very shacky for me..chornic calculous cholecystitis means Gallbladder inflammation usually results from a gallstone blocking the flow of bile..thats was they say.they have seen a .7cm stone.
so i have go home sad because of the result..so this is my question how many time shoud i take the flashing method in order to take all the stone..
your answer will be appriciate..God bless
From Doc Emil: Flushing stones from the gall bladder is a practice of detoxification to prevent large stone formation and to get out toxins from the body as result of present-day lifestyle and unbalanced food intake over a long period of time. However, people have used it as a remedy to get out the stones. There is no rule on how many times can you can flush to get rid of stones since none exists. Flushing at very short intervals and “too frequent practice” may even be healthy anymore. I would be careful because you might have large stones which cannot be flushed and only a surgical operation can help. A healthy practice is flush or detox 2x a year or every 6 months, just like enema which was a practice of our grandmothers before.

gud am doc, i have 5 gall bladder stones n one is in the neck of the gall bladder measuring 3-8 mm. i did the flushing, and i have the next ultra sound only one left and no longer in the neck of the gall bladder. it’s now on the gall bladder lumen measuring 5mm. can i still do the flushing? i had it last jan. 20, 2010. i want to do the flushing again on feb. 20, 2010 because my doctor would still do the operation. i dnt want to under go operation because it is so expensive and i’m afraid of the operation. my doctor told me that it cant’ be flush anymore. please advice me on this matter, please doc. thank you and God bless
From Doc Emil: The reason why your doctor advised you not to flush anymore is that there is gallstone lodge in the bile duct (the lumen, I supposed) so it might be obstructing the gallbladder now. I you experience pain, the more we are suspecting that you have a gallbladder obstruction. Better to listen to your doctor and have the operation or get a second opinion from a gastroenterologist.

Good afternoon doc,
I am from gensan and has been recently diagnosed with 1.2cm gallstone impacted at the neck of gall bladder. Is it advisable for me to do flushing? I am also diabetic. A site said allpe juice fasting is not recommended for diabetics. Pls advice. Thank you and more power to you. God bless.
From Dr. Aligui: Only 3-4mm gallstones would go through. Sometimes 8mm can but it is entirely upon the patient to undergo gallbladder flush

dok im 23y/o nagpa u/s po ako eto po ung sabi….
the liver in size with a homogenous parenchymal echotexture. negative for mass. the intrahepatic ducts are not dilated. the common duct is normal in caliber.
the gallbladder measures 7.8 x 3.3 cm. multiple lithiasis are seen intraluminally. the largest measures about 0.5 cm. the wall is not thickened.
Baka bumara.

Hi Doctor, please tell me if it is safe to do the epsom salt cleanse without knowing how big my gallstones are, as i have never had a test.
I also have a history of ulcerative colitis, although it seems to be in remission, no more bleeding, etc, only a little colon pain once in a while,,
also do you know where can buy the salt near to Tagaytay? Thanks very much, Eric King erickingcity1st@yahoo.com, 0915 838 1776 is my phone, Thank you for all the info
From Dr. Aligui: You have to know how big the gallstones are because it might cause obstruction if you attempt a gall bladder flush and the stones are big. Since you have ulcerative colitis, you cannot do a flush because you might have diarrhea. Pineapple can help you with your ulcerative colitis.
March 22nd, 2010 at 8:55 am
hi doctor emil, ask ko lng po, ang epsom salt n magnesium sulphate at epsom salt magnesium citrate ano po pinagkaiba? ang epsom salt na magnesium sulphate ay pwede din gmitin for athritis? wala po bng side effect kng magnesium sulphate ang gagamitin? i’m glad if you will answer my questions…. or you can txt me at 09062952591. thank you very much! parati ko rin po kyo pinapanood sa salamat doc.
god bless and more power….
From Dr. Aligui: Iba ang magnesium citrate sa magnesium sulfate

Have done one flush, but used regular apple juice. (Did not see about organic or green apples). Did not want surgery, but they don’t have it recorded the size of my stones, but I did have a thickened GB wall.
Anyway, pain subsided in normal location after first flush, but now a lower concentration of pain after. With flush, I did not see stones, instead got sludgey material. Since flush, Had one attack after eating fatty meal and fear a stuck stone. Have a Dr appt in 2 days, but still did not want to do the surgery. Suggestions???
From Dr. Aligui: Hope you check with your doctor and make a decision based on the size of the gallstones. Flush is not for all gallstones, only for small size ones. All fatty meal will cause pain among patients with gall bladder problems with large stones and highly thickened gall bladder wall. Follow doctor’s advice because a good physical and laboratory examination are needed to be guided on treatment.

Hi Doc,
Ive been sufering from galstone attacks for some time now, im thinking about doing a flush…
my ultrasound results are:
the liver is normal in size. the parenchyma is more echogenic than usual with increased attennuation posteriorly. no focal mass lesion seen.
the hepatobilary ducts are not dilated. the common bile duct measures about 4mm.
the gallbladder is normal in size and configuration. its wall is unthickend. Multiple mobile intraluminal dense echoes are seen which range in size from 10 to 20 mm in diameter.
the pancreas and spleen are intact. the pancreatic duct is not dilated
Ipression:
Fatty infiltration of the liver
holecystolithiasis
normal pancreas and spleen
Doc, do you advice i try to do a gallblader flush?
thanks
From Dr. Aligui: You have large stones but if your symptoms are not problematic, you can try the flush. If you are successful and are able to flush out the stones, then maintain flush; do it every 3 months.
May 17th, 2010 at 2:35 am

Hi Doc,
I was experiencing pain on the upper right abdomen, spreading through to left and all over abdomen into the upper back. I was getting this pain when I eat specific hard to digest sort of foods – like chick peas, wheat floor bread. I got the u/s done on 21st May 2010 and the results revealed gallbladder sludge with multiple mobile gallstones of upto 1.3cm in size. My GP suggested to get immediate surgery and kept me on Somac (Pantoprazole (as sodium sesquihydrate) enteric-coated tablets) which prevents gallbladder contracting. I’m not interested in taking this medication, but my GP insist me to take it as if don’t take it, my ain might lead to more complications like jaundeice etc…I booked an appointment with surgen on 27th May and I’m also seeing naturapath on the same day. I would really like to get rid of gallstones naturally, and save my gallbladder. I contacted Liver Doctor clinic in sydney and they said, doing liver / gallbladder flush for 1.3cm gallstones might be risky as they might get stuck in the bowel and suggest to break the stones to smaller pieces first. Luckly I found this sight which shows client testimonials of flushing gallstones bigger than 1.3cms. I’m planning to start the 5-6 day plan from next week. Your response will be greatly appeciated please. I’m impressed with the positive results noted on the blog.
Thanks heaps
Prathima

From Dr. Aligui: Ang sticky o waxy fluid ay fat na lumabas sa colon mo. Ok yan. Maaring wala ng gaanong gallstones na. Pwede mong ulitin ang flush after 3 months, then kung wala naming lumabas every 6 months na lang. Kasi pweden umulit ang gallstones.

I am concerned that people now use only to traditional medicine. It’s a very big load on the body. We need to develop herbal medicine. Thats like Vitamins body

Hello Doc,
My husband is suffering from gallstone attacks. We’re thinking to do flushing.
His U/S result dates May 11, 2010 is:
Gallbladder=6.5 x 2.6 cm.
The gallbladder is normal in size. The wall is not thickened. There are several moveable bright echoes noted within the gallbladder, measuring 1.2 to 2.0 cm.
There are no dilated biliary ducts.
Impression:
CHOLECYSTOLITHIASES
His doctor advised him to undergo operation but we are not prepared for it. That’s why we are thinking of the flushing. Is it safe for him?
Your advice is highly appreciated. Thanks so much Doc.

Many have tried flushing on the basis of need. I would try if the pain is only occasional. The borderline size for a flush is 8mm.

Hi doc, I’m 42 and has been diagnosed with cholecystolithiasis. I’m been having several gall bladder attacks. All I’m taking was luyang dilaw. My pain will lessen & sometimes none at all. Please help me find results on my upper abdominal & pelvic ultrasound yesterday.
Liver is normal in size with homogeneous parenchymal echopattern. Its echogenicity is normal. There is no focal lesion seen. The hepatorenal angle and inferior edge sharpness are maintained. The intrahepatic ducts are not dilated.
The gall bladder measuring 4.2cm x 1.4cm is normal in size with thin wall. Two foci of high amplitude echoes measuring 1.0cm & 1.5cm are seen in the lumen.
The common duct & the portal vein are normal in caliber.
The pancreas measuring 1.8cm(H) x 1.4cm(B) x 0.9cm(T) is normal in size with homogeneous parenchymal echopattern. No focal lesion is seen. The pancreatic duct is not dilated.
The spleen is normal in size with homogeneous parenchymal echopattern. No focal lesion is seen.
The right kidney measures 10.9cm x 5.7cm x 5.6cm with cortical thickness of 1.8cm and the left kidney measures 10.1cm x 6.0cm x 4.6cm with cortical thickness of 1.6cm. Both kidneys are normal in size. The cortical thickness, cortical echogenicity, cortico-medullary differentiation, renal sinus complexes & perinepheric areas are unremarkable.
There is moderate pelvocalyceal dilatation on both sides.
The urinary bladder is well distended with echofree lumen & smooth non-thickened wall.
The bowel loops are not dilated.
There is a large pelvoabdominal multiloculated cysyic mass with an eccentric echogenic focus, the mass measures 14.9cm x 10.1cm x 13.3cm(1057ml)
PLEASE, help me. Pwede ko po ba itry ang gall bladder flushing? Hindi ko po kaya magpaundergo in operation financially & emotionally. Thank you.

Vien, the “high amplitude echoes” may indicate the stones, which are more than 8mm. Although this is the “borderline” for which gallstones may not pass through by flushing, many informal accounts from users have been successful in flushing out the stones. So doing a gallbladder flush may still work. – Doc Emil

female/ 44y/o. i’ve been suffering from abdominal pains few hours after meals for more than 5 year. the pain can be likened to hyperacidity and indigestion. Never have i experienced severe pain in the RUQ that’s radiating to the shoulder and back.
Doctors have been advising to undergo cholecystectomy. But im having apprehensions. Can you advise gallbladder flush in my case. Thank you po, Doc.
result of gbt utz Oct 15, 2005:
repeat scanning after fat free diet still shows a contracted gallbladder with strong shadowing echogenicities.
IMPRESSION: cholelithiasis with chronic cholecystitis.
result of gbt utz Feb 2009:
gallbladder remains markedly contracted measuring about 2.1×0.0 cm. (LxAP) intense echo/es noted in the fundal lumen measuring about 1.1 cm. A 1cm. intense echo is noted in the gallbladder neck
The common bile duct is dilated measuring 1 cm. in AP dia. with fusiform configuration. No calculus or mass demonstrated in its visualized segment. The intrahepatic ducts are not dilated
Conclusion: Markedly contracted gallbladder with lithiases. Dilated fusiform common bile duct. No intrahepatic ductal dilatation.
Salamat po. I wish gallbladder flush is advisable in my condition.
From Dr. Aligui: You have a borderline possibility for a flush, but if the pain becomes frequent, it not be advisable to do a flush.

From Doc Emil: hepatitis b has no known cure. Medications or herbal plants help reduce liver damage. Turmeric will help the liver recover but usually hepatitis B will not be cured. There are cases who just became negative without any reason, and it is believed that this was due to good immune system.

Hi Doc Emil,
Good Day!Is 8mm gallstone can still be flushed out by doing the procedure? I was diagnosed with one 8mm gallstone…8.9mm to be exact. Is it true that patients who has gallstones needs to avoid milk?

Doc Emil,
