Have you ever experienced drinking apple cider vingegar (ACV)? Yack! However the health benefits of ACV has been known even in biblical times. It is good for constipation because of the pectin (fiber), it can relieve inflammatory conditions such those from allergy, infection and as a natural detoxifying drink. The malic acid in ACV can also help reduce uric acid in the body. Locally applied, it can help in fungal and bacterial infections and as a general natural acidifier of the skin.

How to make your own apple cider: Making apple cider requires fresh apple juice, preferrably from early harvested apples – but this is not possible in the tropics where there are no apple plantations. The juice is fermented (below 20deg Celsius) in a dark room with cheesecloth cover and with daily stirring. This is done for about 4 weeks. If yeast used for fermenting wine is available the fermentation process is shortened.

I’ve read in one book for natural remedy that drinking combination of one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and honey to one cup of warm water will help regulate acid reflux. Is that true? From Doc Emil: ACV is a skin acidifier but it will not lighten your skin. ACV can improve digestion, drink as you would drink tea. Basically only sugar or adding apple juice and cinnamon can be used to modify the taste; and of course, dilution with water. For skin tone improvement, it would be better to use green papaya (shredded and applied directly on the skin) plus a very strict regimen of limited sun exposure (use of sunblock). Management of skin tone would depend on the examination and analysis of a dermatologist. Gluthathione is a good supplement but very dependent on continuous use.

From Doc Emil: Honey is mainly carbohydrate with a flavor depending on the prevailing flowering season where honey was harvested. It is simple sugar (glucose and fructose) but also with a small amount of complex carbohydrates. What gives honey its medicinal quality is it low water quality which does not support bacterial growth. However, honey may contain bacterial spores when taken raw or from the beehive source, that is why wild honey is not recommended for infants because of possible infection. Commercial honey is pasteurized and would be sterile if contamination can be prevented after opening of container. Nutritional value of honey for skin is known and it also prevents dryness of the skin by forming a skin film.

doc emil,
i had vaginal itch for almost a month now. i consulted my doctor twice and gave medicine like diflucan + antibiotics (first set of medicine), metronidazole capsules and tricovart cream plus betadine feminine wash (2nd set of medicine) . initially the itchiness gone when my menstruation comes. but a week after my cycle the itchiness comes back. i surf the internet and found articles about ACV but the proper use of it doesn’t clearly elborated on the article. Can you give me the right way of using ACV againsts vaginal itch cause by yeast cells (this is present in my urine in few/small numbers) ? Or do’s and don’t’s of using ACV.

The right ovary is converted to a unilocular, thin-walled cyst with low to medium level echoes within which measures 6.2 x 5.0 x 5.5 cm. Capsule measures 0.4 cm.
Can you help me because i am suffering from a severe pain on my lower and upper back, and abdominal pain..please help me..

Hello yes acv does help with a ton of humanly issues it is a staple in our house and so is sanovida a really delicous acv drink that I tried one day at a friends house and to my pleasant surprise it was amazingly refreshingly good. I have a follicular hemorrhagic ovarian cyst, 4cm. Pain – from dull to extreme sharpness, tiredness, and stuck at home – meaning total mental exhaustion as well. Wondering if ACV can help with this? Doing castor oil packs daily, helping with pain A LOT.

Hi my name Lisa,
I had one cyst for about two years, it’s size is about 5cm and it is over my left tube , in the past week I was in the hospital twice becuse to top it off I also got candida and I’m told by the dr’s that it is twisting,
now …I been trying diets and wild yam, in order to avoid surgery but insted of the one cysist I’m told I have 5 new ones, and I’m told I must have surgery in a month

I have a anechoic cyst in my left ovary my OB said no need for surgery cuase its not big, Is drinking banaba tea might be helpful? If not what will be the right tea for me?

FROM DR. EMIL: Banaba will not cause the cyst to disappear, but if you get pregnant, it might disappear. However, you can drink banaba tea for health supplementation (not for the cyst). There is no particular remedy for that. Pregnancy will cause some hormonal changes that can influence the cyst and make it disappear.
