Boil 1/2 cup fresh chopped leaves in 2 glasses of water. You can drink 1 cup 2x daily. If you use dried leaves as tea, reduce to 1/4 cup. You can put flavor such as pandan, lemon grass or kalamansi. Make sure the leaves are clean. You can collect banaba leaves and hang them to dry at home. Air-drying is the recommended way to dry medicinal plants. Drying them under the sun will destroy the phytochemical such as antioxidants and phyto enzymes.

dear doc,
A pleasant good day to you. I had a discharge somewhat like a whitish one and i can feel that it came out from my urethra area. I had consulted a urologist about this matter and gave me prescriptions like norfloxacin at first for my urine infection (my UTI keeps coming back every now and then), ciprofloxacin and last month ofloxacin 500 mg. Still the discahrge is there and now i am experiencing a pain in my stomach area. I have also consulted my OBGyne and said it was just a simple vaginosis and nothing to woory about and prescribed metronidazole + statin a suppository inserted in my vagina for 7 days. My urologist told me that if the pain and discharge would persist after ofloxacin, he would do a cystoscopy to examine my gallbladder. Up to this time, i havent seen my doctor yet due to financial problems cause i needed P15 thousand to do the procedure. I wrote you to ask help regarding my problem and illness im into. Could you help me and is there any other remedy other than this? I am just an ordinary govt. employee with 4 kids to support. From Doc Emil: It would be difficult to say something about your medical problem without laboratory data such as a smear and culture of the discharge. This is a standard procedure. Herbal medicines can help but they cannot usually be used for treatment alone. If the discharge is coming from the urethra, then the problem is at the urinary tract; if the discharge is coming from the vagina, then the problem is at the reproductive tract. If the discharge came from the reproductive tract first then spread to the urinary tract both systems have to be considered. I would suggest that you consult another gynecologist. Do not be afraid to ask questions from your doctor. We doctors have to explain to the patient fully what we think about their problems and options for treatment so they can understand and decide with the doctor the best approach.
My limitation in your case is that my clinical background is pediatrics; my research background is epidemiology and infectious diseases. To some extent I have been trained in gerontology (adults) -in assessing and planning long term care. I do medicinal plant research to help empower people through information on the use of natural products.

Dear Doc Emil,
Recently I had a physical exam being required prior to being accepted in work overseas. Ultrasound was on of the procedure. I was charged unfit due to the result regarding kidney and gallbladder problem… “APDO raw”.
Please kindly advice me if I can still have herbal remedies.
They said I have about 6mm of gallstone.
Surely, I can’t afford to pay for surgery.
I am 48 years old, 4 kids.
Real tough situation for me as I no longer have work these days.

Then aside from that, ano po ba magandang maintenance sa
may problema sa Sludge Gallbladder, fatty liver at kidney stones?

Goodday!
Are you familiar with Scleroderma Diesease plus RA. This is the disease that i am suffering at this moment. Besides thi is associated with raynauds phenomenon. I haved checked up with my physician specialing with this. I have been taking medication.
Please give me or advice some herbal medication suited for my disease because i have fear that of taking many drugs may cause some side effects.

hi doc. gudevening. im long time n regular viewer of salamat doc every saturday n sunday.im 37 years old with 2 kids.i was very much intrested,i learned, got so much information on u n share mostly to family n friends. unfortunately n unepectedly time has come that me myself needs ur help for my problem. i had eperience a pain but tolerable pain at my right side back of my body. n when i had kidney (KUB) eamination the result was my right pelvocalyces and proimal ureter is mildly dilated, the impresssion was mildly hydonephrosis, right kidney,and my dr told me to do the procedure by wave shock . i had all request for eamination right now to do this procedure, pls give me ur big help what me to do n share me me the magic of (gonatural) herbal medicine for my disease so not to go on tto this procedure. ehank u very much, GOB BLESS!!!

From Dr. Aligui: Di lahat ng fatty liver ay problematic, check if your SGPT or ALT is high, consult a doctor for the laboratory and physical examination. If you just have fatty liver but normal SGPT or ALT then just maintain on luyang dilaw salabat daily to protect the liver. About 1 inch of luyang dilaw boiled in 1 and a half glass of water – take 1 cup 2x a day or just 1 cup daily can help protect the liver.
